Kriti Sanon has been hemming all the headlines at the moment ever since a significant section of the audience has been criticising her new film, Adipurush. There have been a host of reviews and criticism for the film, and people have shown dissatisfaction with the choice of attires and choice of dialogues. While the star cast of the film has kept mum on the same, it has been the film’s protagonist, Kriti Sanon’s mom, who has come forward in support of her daughter’s film.
Taking to her IG handle on June 21, 2023, Kriti Sanon’s mom, Geeta Sanon shared a cryptic post which hinted at her support for her daughter’s recently released film, Adipurush. The note which is written in Devnaagri, conveyed the fact that one should not judge anything merely by its outward appeal but should rather introspect and respect the feelings of it. An excerpt from her note can be read as:
“Insaan ki galtiyon ko nahi uski bhavna ko samjho. Jai Shree Ram”

A few days earlier, Kriti Sanon had taken to her IG handle and dropped a video featuring the massive applause and love her film received when shown in a movie hall. While she chose not to comment anything on the ongoing debate about the film hurting Hindu religious sentiments, Kriti simply penned a caption that spoke about her support in focussing more on the love and appreciation than the criticism.

The duo share an unmatchable bond, and one can get a glimpse of the same through Kriti’s various social media posts and interviews. For instance, in one of her earlier interviews with ETimes, Kriti Sanon reflected how she never became teary-eyed when receiving awards but only became so when her mother heaped praises on her efforts and hard work. She had mentioned:
“I never cried on receiving an award but I cried when my mother encouraged me."

In one of her earlier interviews with India Today, Kriti Sanon and her mom, Geeta Sanon discussed why the latter discouraged her daughter to be a part of the film, Lust Stories, where for a scene she had to portray undergoing an orgasm. For the unversed, after Kriti refusing for the role, it was offered to Kiara Advani, who nailed it with her performance. Speaking about the same, Geeta Sanon had reflected on her refusal and had mentioned that she was not comfortable in seeing her daughter portray such kind of scenes.
