Senior actor, Kuldeep Sareen always got inspired by cinema. Credits, to his acting chops, he started off his career with theatre, worked in Delhi for many years, before starting his new beginnings in Mumbai. Lately, he is known for his phenomenal work in Chorri 2, where he shared screenspace with Soha Ali Khan. The actor was asked about how Soha was on the sets, as she came back after the knife attack incident on her brother, Saif Ali Khan, earlier in 2025.
Kuldeep, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Shaadis, shared that his co-star, Soha, is a strong lady. The actor shared screen space with her back in the 2006 film, Ahista Ahista. He remembered playing an antagonist in the movie and having equal screen space like her. The actress who has always maintained a calm demeanour showed a brave front with her work in Chorri 2, after Saif's knife attack incident. Kuldeep, who played a complex character in the film, shared that the actress did put up a brave front. In his words:
"Bahut achi hai. Humble hai. Unke saath interaction hua film and film ke baad bhi. Kuch kuch karke comeback karti hai. Family ka issue tha tabhiu comeback kia hai. Strongly samne aayi hai. Kafi strong character reveals hoke aaya hai. Positive or negative, soch samajke accept kia hoga."
Kuldeep, going ahead in the interview, revealed that when he stepped into the world of acting, he accepted the highs and lows that came along with it. The actor, best known for his grey shade role as a cop named, 'Viren Chaddha' in Delhi Crime Season 2, shared that he always wanted to do better work after the series. The actor noted:
"Aapko ek acha kaam Delhi Crime jaise mil gaya aap behtar hi kaam karna chahoge aur hoh sakta hai 2-5 sall baithna pade kyuki kaam ki ko guarantee nai hai. Ess clarity ke saath Mumbai pahuche thei. Mei apne kaam ke swabhav manta hu. Nature of work hai, abhinay mei aaya hu wait karna padega."
Although, Kuldeep did credit platforms like Netflix for giving him phenomenal work. He did agree that one does not get such big platforms often, and he was humbled seeing the love he got for his role in Delhi Crime Season 2, and he always aimed for something on that level in parallel. The actor, best known for his work in Crime Patrol, Don shared that for him, the nature of work was very important. Thinking of his journey of struggle, Kuldeep revealed:
"Hum peeche jab mudkar dekhte hai theatre mei bhi bahut sundar waqt guzare hai. Mei Mumbai nai aana chahta tha lekin NSD mei cheeze hai, sanstha chodhni padhti hai. Naye actors ko space dete hai ki aur naye ache actors aaye. Ek actor theatre pe nai ji pata. Family ko nai leke ja pata, bacho ko acha living nai de pata. Theatre ka halat kharab hai. Na chahte huei bhi Mumbai mei role karna pada. Otherwise mei khush tha Delhi mei."
Sareen also revealed that he believed in working with full honesty and being completely dedicated to his craft. While selecting a role, he never looks at the platform as, at the end of the day, survival was also very important. He was thankful for getting a show like Delhi Crime, but also felt that a bigger stage to show off his versatile acting chops is something that he has always aimed for.
