Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahut Thi 2 Plot REVEALED, Mihir And Tulsi's Ideal Marriage Has New Villain

Ekta Kapoor's famous television show, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 is back after seventeen years. The show's title beautifully explained to '90s children that relationships change with a shift in dynamics, but the love remains the same as the new members join in. After 17 years, with married women handling office, children and home, Ekta's second season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 will deal with the advanced issues that today's families are facing. 

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 plot revealed

The iconic show, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, premiered on July 29, 2025, at its usual 10:30 p.m. slot. Another highlight of the show is to see Smriti Irani back as everyone's favourite 'Tulsi Virani' and Amar Upadhayay reprising his role as 'Mihir'. In an interview with The Indian Express, Amar shared the new changes in his character. He claimed that 'Mihir is a big businessman'. 

While in season 1, he had completed his MBA and returned to India to join his father's business, this time around, Mihir is an established businessman. Amar was quoted as saying:

"Mihir is a bit changed in the way he moves around. He is a big businessman now. In season 1, he had done his MBA and returned to India to join his father’s business. Now he is a very big businessman, busy exploring new business ideas."

Talking about the plot twist, in the first season, Mihir and Tulsi's relationship was threatened by the fear of an extramarital affair, which was prevalent in those days. This time around the couple will be facing tiffs and conflicts with the younger generation in the family. He said:

"Smriti and my relation is just the way it was. The new kids come in, and with them, we have some differences, which is a different track altogether."

When Ekta Kapoor confirmed bringing back Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2

Earlier, during an interview with Hindustan Times, it was revealed that Ekta Kapoor has officially confirmed the return of her cult show, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2. She not only confirmed the buzz about the show's return but also revealed that the second season would be 150 episodes long. Sharing the reason behind it, Ekta revealed that when the original TV show ended, it was 150 episodes short of reaching the 2000-episode mark. She was quoted as saying:

"The love we have for this program brought everyone related to it back together to complete just those 150 episodes to reach that 2000 episode. This show deserves that."

Not only this, Ekta Kapoor further revealed that the reboot will have a politician in it, confirming Smriti Irani's comeback as 'Tulsi Virani' in the show. Talking about her favourite actress-turned-politician, Ekta said:

"We are bringing politics into entertainment, or better, a politician into entertainment."

Later, in many media interactions, Ekta Kapoor stated that the purpose of the show was to highlight the societal issues and give a perspective of what's happening around us in the digital age. And this time, it is not TRP-based, but out of love.
