And now, we have got to know that the Kapoors have given a surprise performance for the soon-to-be-married couple.
A report in ETimes had stated that Ranbir and Alia will be getting married as per Punjabi rituals, and the Kapoors will take a baraat procession between the Krishna Raj Bungalow and Vastu. The entire path between the two locations at Pali Hill is beautifully decked up with lights hanging from the trees, and the police have been deployed to block the road for about 15-20 minutes to ensure the baraat to go smoothly.

Rajendra Singh, popularly known as Masterji in Tinseltown, was the man behind the sangeet choreography for the actors, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Rajendra Singh spilled some beans about choreographing for Ranbir and Alia's sangeet and revealed that the Kapoor side gave a surprise performance for the to-be-married couple. He shared:
“Maine hi choreograph kiye. The songs were Mehendi Hai Rachne Waali, Dholida, Tenu Leke Main Jawaanga and Cutiepie. Because this was a surprise for the bride and the groom, only the Kapoor side performed. Alia’s side didn’t. The atmosphere was so fantastic, I know the family for more than 25 years now. If you see the Insta story of me with Neetu ji, she wrote such nice things. I treat them like family, it isn’t a professional relationship.”
Further in the interview, Rajendra revealed that the muhurat of the wedding is scheduled for April 14, 2022, at 1 pm. He also added that Ranbir and Alia didn’t perform at their sangeet and said that he took 4-5 days to choreograph the wedding. In his words:
“Zyaada time nahi liya choreography ke liye maine. Because they are all top and busy stars in the country- Kareena, Karisma, Neetu ji, and even though she’s not from Bollywood, Reema Jain, she is the best in dancing, with adaa and all. It took me four-five days.”

Masterji also shared that he isn’t going to the wedding as it is an intimate affair of 30-35 people. He added that he has known Ranbir for a very long time and is happy for him. Heaping praises on the groom-to-be, Ranbir, Masterji said:
“Its is a very private affair, not more than 30-35 people will be present. It is a daytime wedding. I know Ranbir before he made his debut with Saawariya, I am not emotional but happy for him. He is so handsome and talented, well mannered and down to earth. Alia is a lucky girl she found him and settled down.”
We are super excited to see the glimpses from Ranbir and Alia's sangeet!
