In an interview with Daily Mail, Jeremy Dufrene's ex-fiancee, Kelli Welsh revealed that she was in shock after the former got married to Lana Del Rey. She also added that she and Jeremy were engaged for 12 long years, and it was only after one month of Jeremy and Lana dating that they tied the knot. In Kelli's words:

"I am in shock because we were engaged for 12 years, and he got married after one month."
In the same interview, Kelli Welsh heaped praise on her ex-fiance, Jeremy Dufrene, and stated that he is very hardworking and a manly man, who needed to get out of his comfort zone. She also added that Jeremy and Lana Del Rey look happy with each other, and it's not fake. Stating how her ex-fiance, Jeremy is really in love with Lana, Kelli said:
"But I am happy for him. He is a very protective, hardworking, manly man. He needed to get out of his comfort zone. He was used to bayou life and being out on the swamp. He is deserving of this blessing."
Going further in the interview, Kelli mentioned that he considers her ex-fiance as her good 'friend' now, and stated how the latter has always been the 'giver' in a relationship, and he deserves all the blessings. Kelli remarked that she cares about Jeremy now as a friend. She also revealed the quality that makes him attractive, which is the ability to love, care, and protect people. In Kelli's words:
"He has always been a giver so to have someone give to him, he deserves it. He is a very solid guy. I care about him deeply as a friend. His ability to love and care and protect people makes him so attractive."
Lana Del Rey's husband, Jeremy Dufrene is an alligator tour guide and boat captain. If the reports are to be followed the duo first met back in 2019. As the singer keeps her personal life away from the media light, not much about her relationship with Jeremy is known in public. It was most recently when the couple announced their relationship publically, but Lana Del Rey's FB profile showcases a photo of her with Jeremy dated back in 2019. As far as it's known, Jeremy Dufrene and Kelli Welsh dated when they were in school but parted ways after one year. Later, they met again back in 2011, when Jeremy was already divorced from his first wife, with whom he has two sons and a daughter.
