Landman season 2 comes after record-breaking success

The first season of Landman premiered on November 17, 2024, and became an instant hit, the most-watched global premiere in Paramount+ history, with over 35 million viewers worldwide. After its successful run, the makers wasted no time renewing the show for a second season. Starring Billy Bob Thornton as ‘Tommy Norris’ and Demi Moore as ‘Cami Miller’, the season has been confirmed to feature 10 episodes airing through January 18, 2026.

What is Landman season 2 about?

Spoiler alert for those who haven’t yet finished season 1, the series ended with a bang- the death of ‘Monty Miller’ (played by Jon Hamm) and ‘Tommy Norris’ becoming the new president of M-Tex Oil. based on Texas Monthly’s hit podcast, Boomtown, the series takes viewers to the high-stakes world of West Texas billionaires and fortune-hunters fuellig America’s oil boom.

Season 2 opens straight into the chaos. Billy Bob Thornton is back as ‘Tony Norris’ and is facing pressure on all sides, from M-Tex Oil, from Cami Miller (Demi Moore), and all the dangerous secrets buried in his own family. And now, Paramount+ hints at a brutal, messier, and explosive season ahead, with ‘Tommy’s breaking point possibly getting closer than he might realise. 

Season 2 cast returns and major new additions

Landman season 2 will see most of the key characters from Season 1 returning, besides Thornton and Moore. Ali Larter reprises her role as ‘Angela Norris’, Jacon Lofland returns as ‘Cooper Norris’, Michelle Randolph as ‘Ainsley Norris’, Kayla Wallace as ‘Rebecca Falcone’, James Jordan as ‘Dale Bradley’, Mark Collie as ‘Sheriff Walk Joeberg’, and Paulina Chávez as ‘Ariana Medina’. Demi Moore, though already a key cast member, will see an expanded screen time this season as M-Tex’s new boss after her husband’s death.

Apart from the returning cast, the new season introduces a major new face: Sam Elliott as Tommy Norris's father, ‘T.L. Norris’. As the 1883 star reunites with Sheridan, their characters’ power dynamics are expected to shake up the new season.

When are the Season 2 episodes going to air?

Episode 1 of Landman season 2, titled ‘Death and a Sunset’, has already premiered in the U.S. on Sunday, November 16, 2025 (ET), and the rest of the episodes are slated for release every Sunday. Episode 2, titled ‘Sins of the Father’, will air on Paramount+ on November 23, 2025, followed by Episode 3 (‘Almost a Home’) on November 30, 2025. 

Episode 4, titled ‘Dancing Rainbows’, will follow on December 7, 2025, with Episode 5, ‘The Pirate Dinner’, releasing on December 14, 2025. Episode 6, ‘Dark Night of the Soul’, arrives on December 21, 2025, closing out the year with Episode 7, ‘Forever Is an Instant’, on December 28, 2025. The final stretch begins in 2026, with Episode 8, ‘Handsome Touched Me’, airing on January 4, Episode 9, ‘Plans, Tears and Sirens’, on January 11, and the Season 2 finale, Episode 10, ‘Tragedy and Flies’, releasing on January 18, 2026.

In India, the first episode of Landman season 2 will premiere on JioHotstar (formerly Disney+ Hotstar) on Monday, November 17, 2025, and the remaining episodes will be available for streaming in the following weeks, with the final episode airing on Monday, January 19, 2026.
