Lane Kiffin, the head coach of the Ole Miss Rebels, is about to make one of the biggest decisions of his life. Football fans are hanging on by a thread to find out finally which of the three options, Ole Miss, LSU, or Florida, the coveted coach will choose. Amid this, Lane's ex-wife, Layla has been turning heads with her appearance at the Egg Bowl. Have the former couple reconciled? Here's everything to know about Layla Kiffin and her relationship status with Lane.
Lane Kiffin might be one of the most coveted coaches right now, with people eagerly awaiting his decision. However, Layla isn't an amateur when it comes to sports either. She used to work as an assistant volleyball coach at the University of Tennessee, and that is how she met Lane. He was serving as an offensive coordinator there. After dating for a few years, Layla and Lane tied the knot and were together for nearly 12 years.

Layla and Lane share three children who are almost as popular as their father. Their children are named Landry, Presley, and Monte Knox. Their oldest daughter, Landry has influenced her dad's career choices a lot. In the documentary, E60: The Many Lives of Lane Kiffin, Landry had opened up about how she convinced Lane to stick with the Ole Miss Rebels when he had considered going for another job. Landry shared:
“Me and my friends, we made this slideshow collage to a song we knew he would find sad and just really re-think his decision. We came into the office, and then, set it up on a movie projector screen, and we were like, ‘We have something to show you. Come in here.’ Then he sat down, and we played it, and he was crying. After that, he told us he was gonna stay, so it worked.”
Lane and Layla's relationship hit a major snag, and they got separated. Soon after, the couple legally divorced in 2016. In a statement to Fox Sports, the Ole Miss coach said he and Layla were amicable and committed to raising their three children despite the split. He said:

“After a lot of careful thought and consideration, Layla and I have mutually decided to divorce. We are fully committed to our kids’ future being our No. 1 priority. We will maintain an amicable relationship with respect for each other as we raise these three wonderful children. We will have no further comments and appreciate respect for our family’s privacy.”

Lane has reconciled with his ex-wife, Layla. The couple is together as the coach took to his Instagram Stories and shared a candid photo of Layla in March 2025. When a fan commented congratulations on one of his posts, wishing him well for reuniting with his wife, Lane thanked the commentor. In Theo Von's podcast, Lane also expressed how, in the past, he used to give his job more priority over his family and said:
"I was a head coach at Tennessee and USC, and I was like, that was my higher power. 'Man, I’m the head coach at USC, and that’s who I am.' Not like, 'Oh, I’m a husband,' not 'I’m a father.' Like that became my higher power. That was the most important thing to me, and I could feel it.”
