She also wished her husband luck for his future endeavours. Moreover, such information was heartbreaking to Lataa and Sanjeev's fans, and the reason for this decision was not disclosed, either. Sanjeev Seth and Lataa Saberwal's love story was nothing short of a Bollywood romance. He first saw her during the shoot of their serial, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. The couple's on-screen chemistry soon melted hearts, and they also started sparking something special for one another. Soon, their friendship became stronger and they started sharing food. Sanjeev once talked about his love story with Lataa, and mentioned that they liked each other's food a lot, and just like the saying, 'the family that eats together stays together', it happened to them. For the unversed, Sanjeev married Resham Tipnis in 1993, when she was 20 years old and he was 32 years old. The couple welcomed two kids, Manav and Rishika. However, in 2004, the duo parted ways.

In 2009, Sanjeev started dating Lataa, but as per the reports, he took permission from his first wife and kids before doing the same. In an interview, he said he wanted everyone to be happy with him getting married again, and surprisingly so, everyone was extremely excited about Sanjeev and Lataa's bond.
