Punjabi singer, Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, better known as Sidhu Moose Wala was shot to death in Mansa, Punjab, by armed people. This incident had occurred after the Punjab police had withdrawn protection from the 424 people, including him. Reportedly, the security was withdrawn post the Bhagwant Mann government's exercise to stop the VIP culture. After being shot, the singer-turned-politician was also rushed to a nearby hospital, however, he was declared dead. This incident has left a big hole in the music and entertainment industry.
The Punjabi singer, rapper and Congress leader, Sidhu Moose Wala had released his debut album, PBX1, in 2018. However, with just four years of a singing career, Sidhu Moose Wala had become everyone's favourite with back-to-back hits that had also gotten global acclamation. And his fans and family are still not being able to cope with the 28-year-old legendary singer's untimely demise. On his birth anniversary, his family had shared an emotional video comprising various glimpses starting from his childhood.

As June 11, 2022, marked the birth anniversary of the late Punjabi singer, Sidhu Moose Wala, his family gave a special tribute to him. They took to his IG handle and shared a montage video comprising his various memories along with his parents and other family members. The video begins with an emotional moment wherein we can see Sidhu hugging his mother closely. Following this, we get to see various glimpses from the late singer cake cutting ceremonies from his childhood days and also some of his rare photographs. Along with the heartfelt video, the caption atop it read:
“Happy Birthday Sidhu Moose Wala.”
On June 1, 2022, Sidhu Moose Wala's parents had taken his mortal remains to Kartapur Sahib for asthi visarjan. In the heartbreaking visuals that had surfaced on the internet, we could see his father crying inconsolably while he was immersing Sidhu's ashes in the pond of the Gurudwara. On the other hand, the late singer's mother had fallen unconscious. And during the last rites of Sidhu Moose Wala, his parents' condition had left everyone teary-eyed.

Soon after Sidhu's murder, within a few hours, Canada-based gangster, Goldy Brar had confirmed that he was the one behind it. He had taken to his Facebook account and had penned a long note revealing the same. He had also mentioned that his close associates, Lawrence Bishnoi and Sachin Bishnoi Dhattaranwali were also involved in it.
For the unversed, Sidhu's body had 19 bullet injuries, and he had died within 15 minutes of being shot because of "haemorrhage shock", according to the post-mortem report.
