The oldest of the brothers, Luke is quite popular as an Australian TV actor, meanwhile Chris Hemsworth has received global recognition as 'Thor' of the Marvel Universe. Born on January 13, 1990, Liam grew up in Melbourne, Australia. The actor, whose childhood was spent surfing with his siblings along the Australian coast, moved to the U.S.A. to pursue an acting career, following in the footsteps of his older brothers. Liam made his debut in 2009 with sci-fi thriller film, Knowing. However, his breakthrough role was in the 2010 movie, The Last Song, where he starred opposite his now ex-wife, Miley Cyrus.

Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus were in a patchy relationship from 2009 to 2013. They started dating in 2009 after meeting on the sets of their film, The Last Song and frequently went on and off for three years. However, in 2012, the couple officially announced their engagement. But this lasted until 2013, and they broke up again. Liam and Miley got together again in 2016. But between those three years, the actor was linked to January Jones, Elisa Gonzalez, and Nina Dobrev. Paparazzi and tabloids spotted him on dinner dates with these actresses at different points in time. However, none of these rumours were ever confirmed.

He is the brand ambassador of the Australian Childhood Foundation and has stated that he was inspired by his parents, who have also been working in protecting children for more than two decades. Following the Woolsey Fire, which destroyed his and Miley's home, along with many residential areas in Malibu, Liam made hefty donations and encouraged others to do the same towards rebuilding the community from the ashes. From animal welfare to helping AIDS patients, Liam is well-known for his philanthropy.
