Preliminary reports suggest that the attack occurred during a burglary attempt, but police are exploring other angles and whether it was an insider job from the staff. Authorities have collected forensic evidence and surveillance footage from the actor’s residence, and a manhunt for the intruder is underway.

What the medical team has to say about Saif Ali Khan’s treatment

The team of medical experts engaged in Saif’s aid recently confirmed that the actor is now out of danger. Reports reveal that Saif’s injuries include a critical wound close to his spine and a deep cut on his left wrist, necessitating surgical intervention by a team of top doctors, including neurosurgeon, Dr Nitin Dange; cosmetic surgeon, Dr Leena Jain; and anaesthesiologist, Dr Nisha Gandhi. Dr. Sange told the media:

"Saif Ali Khan was admitted to the hospital at 2 am with alleged history of assault by some unknown person. He sustained a major injury to the thoracic spinal cord due to a lodged knife in the spine. A surgery was performed to remove the knife and repair leaking spinal fluid. Two other deep wounds on his left hand and one other on his neck were repaired by the plastic surgery team. He is completely stable now. He is recovering well and out of danger now.”
