F.R.I.E.N.D.S is not just a regular sitcom but also an emotional connection for its huge fanbase. The show, which was first aired in September 1994 on NBC in the United States, ran until May 2004. Every character in the show had their unique attribute, and fans had their personal favourites. Some wanted to be as cool as 'Joey', some wished to be as stylish as 'Rachel'. But do you know that Lisa Kudrow, who played the role of ‘Phoebe Buffay’, revealed she was the least favourite.
In an interview with The Independent, Lisa Kudrow said her character on Friends was her least favourite. She also stated that ‘Nobody cared about me’ and ‘there were certain parts of [my talent agency] that just referred to me as ‘the sixth Friend.'” Indeed, it was surprising as Lisa’s character ‘Phoebe’ was hailed for her uniqueness.

In the same interaction, Lisa Kudrow also shared that, despite winning an Emmy in 1998 as Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her performance as 'Phoebe', many did not believe she would have a career in Hollywood. Speaking about the same, she shared:
“There was no vision for me, and no expectations about the kind of career I could have. There was just, like, ‘boy is she lucky she got on that show.'”

The six leads from the show, 'Monica', 'Chandler', 'Joey', 'Phoebe' 'Ross' and 'Rachel', won millions of hearts with their characters. Though the other leads slipped into their characters gradually, Lisa had a little difficulty. Though ‘Phoebe’s' role brought a sense of comic relief, it was a bit unconventional compared to others. ‘Phoebe’ had a strange background with her mom's suicide, a strained yet odd bond with her twin sister, 'Ursula', her living on the streets to survive during her teenage years and many more.

Talking to Parker Posey, Lisa revealed that playing 'Phoebe' was not as effortless as it looked. Lisa shared that her on-screen portrayal on the sitcom, F.R.I.E.N.D.S was far from what she is as a person in real life. She can be quoted as saying:

"It was fun the whole time because the cast had fun. Phoebe was so far from who I was as a human being, it was work — I needed to justify everything she was saying in my head so that it felt like she meant it and it was real to her. It was a lot of work."
In the same interview, Lisa Kudrow revealed that during seasons 2-3, she had a moment of self-doubt about whether she was doing it in the right way. Lisa shared that Matt LeBlanc provided her with advice. Matt LeBlanc played the role of 'Joey' in the series. She said that Matt told her that she was 'Phoebe' herself, and she wouldn't have to be the same forcefully.
