Remo D'Souza's Wife, Lizelle Recalls His Heart Attack Episode, Reveals How Salman Khan Helped Them

Remo D'Souza is known for choreographing some of the most iconic songs of Bollywood. Also, he has directed a couple of films like Race 3 and ABCD. The filmmaker had suffered a heart attack back in 2020 that shook his family. Recently, the couple appeared on Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa's podcast, where Lizelle recalled the sudden incident and what went on behind the doors.

Lizelle D'Souza first called Salman Khan for help

Remo D'Souza suddenly suffered a heart attack in 2020 and his wife, Lizelle was confused about what she should do. At that time, she made the first call to actor, Salman Khan, who featured in his directorial venture, Race 3. She revealed how the actor made all the arrangements necessary for the choreographer's treatment. Recalling the incident, Lizelle shared:

"First call I made was to Salman bhai, I remember him telling me 'I’ve told the doctors that they think it is me”

Lizelle calls Salman Khan a ‘God Sent’ person

Lizelle shared that Salman Khan was initially on another call and called her back when she was crying. She shared how the Tiger 3 actor consoled her and she felt that she could trust him in that difficult situation. Apart from having a conversation with the doctor, Salman Khan was on and off connected to them via call throughout the surgery. In Lizelle's words:

“Touchwood to that person, Salman bhai, he is God sent. Sometimes it’s not about someone being there financially, it's just being there. You suddenly feel you are very small and there should be someone who you can trust.”

Lizelle and Remo D'Souza married at a young age

Lizelle D'souza and Remo D'Souza have been married for more than 25 years now. The couple are proud parents to two sons, Dhruv and Gabriel. The couple met at Ahmed Khan’s dance class in their early 20s, around 1999-2000. However, they used to have conflicts before they fell for each other. Sharing the same, Remo said:

“She was always late, so we fought like cats and dogs. But they say opposites attract, and that's exactly what happened with us. One day we realised that despite our fights, there is love between us.”

Lizelle and Remo D'Souza's professional life so far

Lizelle D’Souza is a costume designer who has designed various television show costumes. On the other hand, Remo D'Souza is known for choreographing songs for prominent films like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Bajirao Mastani. He has been working in the industry for more than two decades and in more than 100 movies. They often credit each other for their success and are considered couple goals.
