'Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra' On OTT, What Will Be There In Part 2? Tovino Thomas' 389 Siblings, More

Dark fantasy superhero film, Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra has grabbed a whole lot of attention lately. The movie was made only on a budget of Rs. 30 crore but has grossed Rs. 303.26 crore at the global box office, marking a successful theatrical run. The film was dropped on the OTT platform, Jio Hotstar, on October 20, 2025, and the excitement about the same has since been ignited, given the fact that it has reached a wider audience. For the unversed, earlier, it was confirmed that Chapter 2 will be there as the Lokah universe is being planned to be made as a five-film franchise. Amid this, let's have a look at what Chapter 2 will unfold.

Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra leaves people excited about the upcoming part

Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra is the story of 'Chandra', a woman from Kerala, who suddenly felt changes surrounding her, only to realise later that she's connected, or somewhat even the modern form of the powerful female spirit of Kerala folklore, 'Kalliyankattu Neeli'. The movie also shows the antagonist, 'Nachiyappa', who undergoes a transformation to become 'Yaksha', a male supernatural being of Kerala folklore. His complex mindset is shown opposite the light and strength of 'Chandra', thereby creating a clash. As the movie ended, 'Chandra', accepting herself to be 'Neeli', and ending up in a larger universe, it's making sure of the fact that the ending is open, and thus the upcoming chapters will surely continue to flourish eventually.

What can we expect from Lokah Chapter 2?

In the end credit sequence of Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, we could witness Tovino Thomas, who was conversing with another character, while talking about a group of archaeologists who vanished inside a cave. As he was provided with a photo of 'Chaathan' (goblins), he replied that it could be him or one of his 389 siblings, thereby ending the scene there, with a thriller that the goblins are coming. To mention, Tovino will seemingly play the role of mysterious trickster God, whose drop of blood created 400 Kuttichaathans.

During one battle against an asura, 10 of his siblings were sacrificed. In the post-credit scene, Tovnio is seen in a wild avatar, which suggests that he could play the role of 'Karimkutti Chaathan', the elder sibling of the Kuttichaathans. Be it anything, one thing is ensured that Chapter 2 has all the potential to break the records just like the part one, which was the first Malayalam film to cross Rs. 150 crore. It was on September 27, 2025, actor-turned-producer Dulquer Salmaan took to his X and announced the part 2 of the movie, Lokah. For the unversed, Dominic Arun is the director and writer (along with Santhy Balachandran) of Lokah Chapter 1, while the movie is produced by Dulquer Salmaan.
