Lola Tung, the breakout star of The Summer I Turned Pretty, will return as 'Belly Conklin' in the show's highly anticipated third and final season, set to premiere on July 16, 2025. It is a known fact among the fans that Lola is a proud Swiftie. She has repeatedly expressed her love and admiration for the singer, Taylor Swift, whose music plays a significant role in the series. Once again, season three will feature tracks from the singer's discography playing into the show's emotional storyline. Lola recently shared a real-life moment with the pop superstar, and it couldn't have come at a better time.

Lola Tung appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, ahead of the premiere of her show, The Summer I Turned Pretty where she shared a moment that felt straight out of a Swiftie's fever dream. While attending the Eras Tour in 2023, Taylor Swift looked directly at her, made a heart with her hands, and mouthed, 'I love you guys.' Tung's reaction? She nearly passed out. Well, who wouldn't?

Lola wasn't alone at the concert. The Summer I Turned Pretty, author, Jenny Han was with her, attending and singing along to Taylor Swift. The duo was right next to the stage when Taylor sang False God, a track from her album, Lover, that has also been featured in the drama, The Summer I Turned Pretty. It was a moment of literal goosebumps for the two.

Taylor's music practically narrates Belly's life. From Back to December to Cruel Summer, the show leans heavily on Swift's emotional storytelling lyrics and music. When the show host, Jimmy asked Lola's favourite Taylor Swift track, she had a hard time choosing one. After all, how can you choose between perfection right? However, after a struggle, she named-dropped The Way I Loved You and Delicate as all-time standouts.

Before she was 'Belly Conklin', Lola was a tween blasting Speak Now and Red on her CD player at bedtime. She's been a Swiftie since the OG glitter guitar days. She used to fall asleep listening to Taylor, she had told PEOPLE in a previous interview. From blasting Taylor in her bedroom to having Taylor's songs as background scores for her breakthrough drama, Lola has come a long way. She was quoted saying:

"I've been a Taylor Swift fan for a long time. I used to listen to Fearless, Speak Now and Red on my CD player when I was younger. When I would go to sleep, I would listen to them."

Yeah, that's from Taylor's album Red, and it most perfectly expresses the scenario 'Belly' finds herself in this season. The show's season 3 will finally put an end to a love triangle between brothers 'Conrad Fisher' and 'Jeremiah Fisher', and their childhood friend, 'Belly Conklin'. Whatever might be the show ending, Team Conrad or Team Jeremiah, Lola is definitely Team Taylor.
