As we mentioned earlier, US-based Sriram had no idea about who ‘Madhuri Dixit’ was and the massive fan-following she has, it was after their engagement he brought her movie DVDs and watched it. Post their marriage, Madhuri’s perfect gentleman husband, Sriram took her away from the entire hullabaloo and paparazzi, and together they created their own La La Land in Los Angeles. This made-for-each-other couple was blessed with their first son, Arin Nene in the year 2003 and their second son, Rayaan Nene in the year 2005.
In a recent interview, Madhuri revealed that she met Sriram by chance and also by the cunningness of her brother in LA. Sharing the first reaction after meeting him, the Dhak Dhak girl stated, “It was very wonderful because I was very surprised to know that he didn’t know that I am an actress and I work in Hindi film. He was really not aware of all that. So, it was wonderful (laughs).”
Madhuri further added, “After we met, he asked, ‘will you come mountain biking with me?’ and I thought it will be fine, there’s a mountain and you have to bike. But upon reaching the mountain I realised it’s very difficult. At one point I told him, ‘I can’t do it’. He asked me, ‘You don’t know mountain biking?’”
In another interview, Sriram revealed his reaction when he met Madhuri, “You know the film industry here, is crazy. So, I didn’t know how she would be when I first heard of her. But then I met her brother; he was so grounded and humble. And then I met her.” Stating the reason behind their successful marriage, Sriram was quoted as saying, “We strike the right balance. She has always been grounded. I am the dreamer and adventurer. She has taught me patience and I have taught her organization.”
Dr Nene went on to say, “A romantic date is about the person you are with and how you treat each other. I would say that we could be anywhere and enjoy each other’s company.” When Madhuri was asked why she left her career at peak, she proudly said, “Because I was in love.” (Also Read: Madhuri Dixit Was Once Rejected By A Famous Bollywood Singer For Marriage For Being Too Thin)
