The Dhak Dhak girl of Bollywood, who ruled our hearts in the '90s, is celebrating her 54th birthday today. Last year, on Madhuri's 53rd birthday, Sriram Nene had taken to his Instagram handle and had shared a beautiful picture with his gorgeous wife. Penning a lovely birthday wish for her, he had written, “Here’s wishing my soul mate and very talented better half a very Happy Bday! It’s been the most amazing ride so far. Here is to many happy returns of the day, sweetheart!”
A few moments ago, Madhuri Dixit's husband, Sriram Nene, wished her on her 54th birthday by sharing a throwback picture. Alongside the picture, he wrote, "Happy Birthday to my soul mate, @madhuridixitnene Life has been an amazing journey for us together and I look forward to the road ahead. Much Love and many happy returns of the day! #HappyBirthdayMadhuriDixit #DrNene."
For the unversed, Madhuri had decided to settle down with Dr Nene in the 90s, at the peak of her career. She had met Sriram at her brother's request as Sriram was a close friend of Madhuri’s brother, Ajit Dixit, who lived in the US. After their first meeting, they had started meeting more often and during the course of time, they had come closer to each other. Once in an interview, when she was asked why she got married at the peak of her career, Madhuri had stated, “Because I was in love.”
When Madhuri and Sriram Nene got married, he was not aware of her fame as an actress. Speaking about the same in an interview with ETimes, Sriram Nene said, “I didn’t grow up watching her stuff, because I couldn't speak Hindi. I grew up in LA and practised and trained at UCLA, where they put on their pants one leg at a time. Hers was a completely different world. Meeting her was refreshing; she was a normal person and very down-to-earth."
On February 12, 2021, Madhuri's husband, Dr Nene had turned a year older, and the gorgeous actress had shared a lovely selfie on her IG handle to wish him. In the picture, we could see Dr Nene striking a pose while Madhuri was smiling. Alongside it, Madhuri had poured her heart out and had written, "Life with you has been so much fun & full of adventures, Ram. Thanks for being an amazing husband & a friend. Happy birthday. Love you."

In a throwback interview with Simi Garewal for her show, Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, the actress had revealed that she used to wake up early just to cook for her husband. She had stated, "I used to make breakfast for my husband when he was in cardiovascular surgery. I used to wake up at 5:30, make breakfast for him, of course, he used to leave for work and I used to go back to sleep for some time. I savoured every minute of it."
In the same interview, Madhuri had shared the thing which made her fall in love with Dr Shriram Nene, who knew nothing about her superstardom. The actress had shared, "You always find some similarity when you meet a partner. What he found about me was that I would go out of my way to do something. The fact that I never did mountain biking but I was ready to do it and give it a chance."
