Madhuri Dixit Faces Backlash For Her Tour In Toronto, Fans Say, 'Best Option Is Gracefully Retire..'

Even after decades, the actress is known for songs like Ek Do Teen, Dhak Dhak and Maar Dala. Amid all the love she has received, currently Madhuri Dixit is facing backlash for her USA-Canada tour. Madhuri Dixit’s first tour in USA and Canada

A few days ago, the Maja Ma actress, Madhuri Dixit announced her first show in Toronto during her USA and Canada tour. Announcing the good news, she shared, "Can’t wait to connect with all my fans and bring an unforgettable celebration of dance, music, and memories - straight from the heart. See you soon!" The event was on November 02, 2025. As soon as this announcement went viral, a lot of fans instantly booked the tickets and rushed to The Theatre at Great Canadian Toronto. 

Madhuri Dixit faces backlash for arriving late

Soon after the event, a lot of fans took to their social media handles to share their disappointment in the actress. Reportedly, the actress arrived late, didn’t apologise and gave an interview instead of a dance performance. Sharing their thoughts, one user on Reddit commented, "I mean I'll never cease to love Madhuri but I do agree with every word written here. It saddens me to see her desperate attempts to remain relevant. Also, she is so beloved already, and such 'scamming stunts' are truly unbecoming of a celebrity of her stature. This backlash by her NRI fans, and the reportage of it is, unfortunately, richly deserved."

Another user wrote, "I hate this... You are charging insane prices from fans yet can't arrive on time, can't perform, can't take time to talk to them or click pictures... Not to mention the disappointment the fans must have felt.." A third user penned, "I am surprised people even go to these? I understand going for a singer’s concert but for an actor lol?" Another user commented, "There comes a time when the best option is to gracefully retire."

Madhuri Dixit Nene is one of Hindi cinema's most loved and celebrated actresses, who is well-known for her charming on-screen chemistry and graceful dance. She made her debut in 1984, but rose to fame with films like Tezaab, Dil, Beta, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, Dil To Pagal Hai, Devdas and more. Over the years, she has won multiple awards for her powerful acting skills. Reportedly, she also won a Padma Shri in 2008.
