On October 17, Devdas actress, Madhuri Dixit Nene, celebrated her 22nd anniversary with the love of her life and husband, Dr Shriram Nene. For the unversed, Madhuri had left her career, all the glitz, and glamour to marry her man back in 1999. And, since then, they have been together.
Madhuri Dixit's IG profile is filled with her husband, Dr Nene's pictures, and their two lovely sons. It was an arranged marriage but, from the first date, they had clicked very well. They used to have an adventurous life back then. They would do mountain biking, scuba diving, and all sorts of bold sports.

Once, Madhuri Dixit had appeared on Simi Garewal's talk show, years ago, and had revealed how frightened she felt on her first date with Dr Shriram Nene. While talking about that day, the actress had said:
“The first time we met, he said, ‘Let’s go mountain biking.’ I swear I had not sat on a bicycle for the past 20 years. I am like, ‘Okay, let’s go.’ Mom was like, ‘What’s wrong with you? Do you know what it involves?’ And I am like, ‘Yeah, you just sit on a bike and you go.’ Once we went there, that was when I knew what mountain biking is.”

Further going into the revelation, Madhuri had mentioned that she was way too much frightened and didn't know what to do. But anyway, she did it, and Dr Nene was quite impressed. She had said:
“I came down slopes I never imagined myself doing. I literally was frightened out of my wits. I looked back and I was like (gasps in horror), ‘Did I just come down that?’ After a while, I had to tell him. I said, ‘You know what, I don’t think I have done this.’ He said, ‘You have never done this before?’ I said no. He said, ‘You are brave’.”

When after listening to the story, Simi had said that it was really 'brave', Madhuri chimed in and had said, it was 'stupid' too as she could have fallen badly and hurt herself. For those who don't know, Madhuri Dixit and Dr Nene had a hush-hush wedding in the US, and she stayed there for a long time, but after her first son was born, she returned to India.

On their 22nd marriage anniversary, Dr Nene took to his IG handle and shared a Reel video, compiling their photos along with their sons and their pet dog. Sharing the video, he penned a beautiful note for his wife. The caption could be read as:
"Time flies when you’re having fun and that’s exactly how I feel about the 22 beautiful years that I’ve spent with you. Home is wherever you are and I’m so grateful for the amazing life and home that we have built together. Happy Anniversary to the most beautiful woman in the universe both inside and out, my soulmate, my MD, and my better half, here’s to many great years ahead.”
On the work front, Madhuri was judging the dance reality show, Dance Deewane 3. But on her anniversary, Madhuri also prepared a video with a montage of their pictures since their marriage to date and shared it on her IG handle. She wrote in the caption:
"22 Magical years of togetherness".
