Maera Mishra is one of the famous faces in the television industry. The actress won the hearts of her fans with her role in the series, Bhagya Lakshmi. Apart from that, her stint in Splitsvilla 11 also helped the actress carve a space in the hearts of her fans. Talking about her personal life, Maera was once in a relationship with Adhyayan Suman. However, after an ugly breakup, the diva gave love another chance and found love once again in the arms of a Delhi-based dermatologist, Rajul Yadav. Cut to now, Maera and Rajul are all set to get engaged to one another on April 25, 2024. Ahead of that, the actress divulged details about how Rajul proposed to her. She also talked about her bitter past relationship.
Maera Mishra recently sat for an interview with Pinkvilla, wherein she stated that she is extremely excited about the big day. Talking more about the same, Maera mentioned that she is also nervous as she will meet Rajul's family members for the first time. The actress also divulged details about her proposal story.

Talking about the same, Maera revealed that Rajul proposed to her on Valentine's Day, and ahead of the magical moment, she was telling her beau that she thought that he would pop the big question. However, Rajul acted innocent and apologised to her for letting her down. Maera revealed that after a while, Rajul knelt down with a box of a ring in his hand and left her flabbergasted. Sharing more about the magical moment, Maera added:
"After spending time with him on Valentine's Day, I told him that as that special day passed by, I hoped that he'd pop the big question. Even when I told him that, he acted innocent and told me that he was sorry for letting me down and not figuring it out my feelings on his own. After a while, he stood up, removed a box of ring, and knelt to propose. He said, 'How can I let you down?' I was flabbergasted and was surprised. I took a while to grasp what just happened. He was like, 'Arey at least say yes' and then I accepted the proposal. I want to add that no matter how much you're prepared for this day, if it's a surprise, you will be surprised and wouldn't know how to react and that's what happened with me."
In the same interview, Maera Mishra was asked if her past relationship with Adhyayan Suman ever held her back. To this, the actress mentioned that back then, when it happened, she was only 21 years old, so it doesn't count. Talking more about the same, the actress mentioned that she is not the kind of person who would judge people based on her past relationships. Maera said:
"No. I had only one bad experience, and that didn't matter because everybody is not the same. It has been four to five years; back then, I was very young, everybody was young. I was 21, and that doesn't even count."
Maera also remarked that not everyone is the same, and she was not looking for a relationship that would pass by; rather, she wanted a commitment-based relationship, which she found only in Rajul. Maera can be quoted as saying:
"I am not a person to judge others with my past experiences. It was just that I didn't have any time for a passing relationship. I wanted a solid, commitment-based relationship, and that's what I received in Rajul's case; I realised that he is also very serious about the bond, and that's when we decided to take the relationship forward."

Earlier, in an interview with ETimes, Maera Mishra revealed that she bumped into Rajul at a wedding function back in 2022, followed by some other meet-ups at their mutual friends' birthday parties. Talking more about her equation with Rajul, Maera revealed that they were in a long-distance relationship, but they ensured that they would spend quality time with one another. Thus, they used to shuttle between Delhi and Mumbai. The actress also mentioned that the dermatologist's simplicity and sincerity sparked love in her heart, and he was the first guy to meet her mother.
