They were comfortable with each other to such an extent that when Ekta roped in Hiten for her next show, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, she had to bring in Gauri opposite him. They got married some time later, and are now proud parents to twins, Nevaan and Katya.

This devar-bhabhi jodi on the sets of Kahiin Kisii Roz met on the shoot and became fast friends. Little did they know that this friendship will turn into something more. According to Yash,
"I met Gauri (Yadav) on the sets of Kaahin Kissii Roz. After a month of knowing each other, I realised that something special was brewing between us. So, I proposed to her, and she said ‘yes'."
Gauri too expressed similar sentiments and said,
"Yash surprised me by proposing to me one fine day.''
Today, they are the proud parents of 11-year-old, Pari and are expecting their second child together after a span of 13 years.
Incidentally, this pair too met on the sets of Ekta’s hit show, Kahiin Kisii Roz and played the role of devar-bhabhi. Cross-connections anyone? While Mouli and Yash played the role of husband-wife, Gauri and Mazhar were paired opposite each other. But, love surely can happen anywhere.
Mouli is extremely proud of Mazhar and says,
“We have grown together. When we entered the industry, both of us were very immature. I was not very knowledgeable about the industry. Today, we know a lot more in life. We have seen the ups and downs in each other’s careers.”
After a courtship of seven years, they got married in a simple way in 2010. And, after her wedding, Mouli said:
“We chose a simple marriage because both of us are not in favour of unnecessary celebrations and gimmicks. It was a quiet and private ceremony at our home where people who matter attended and gave us their blessings.”
Just like the sets of Kahiin Kisii Roz another of Ekta’s most popular shows, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii saw two love stories blossom on its sets. The first was that of Rinku Dhawan and Kiran Karmarkar. Playing the role of siblings on-screen did not stop these two lovely people from falling in love with each other.
Seeing each other on sets daily made them realise that they were actually made to spend life with each other. They were a happily married couple for 15 years who were busy with their careers. While Rinku plays the role of Taayi in Zee TV’s, Yeh Vaada Raha, Kiran was last seen on Star Plus’s finite TV series, Tamanna. The couple is now getting divorced for the unknown reasons, ending their 15 years of marriage.

The second jodi that came out of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii was that of Shweta Kawatra and Manav Gohil. Playing the roles of Pallavi and Vikram respectively, they started out as close friends. And, it was Manav who first fell in love with her. However, they both had had bitter past experiences and so were hesitant of coming together.
But, it seems destiny had other plans for the two of them. They soon fell in love and after a courtship of three years got married in 2004, and there has never been such a happily compatible couple ever. They are now the proud parents of 4-year-old, Zahra.
Ekta Kapoor’s hit love story, Kitani Mohabbat Hai, which aired on NDTV Imagine saw the viewers falling madly and deeply in love with the lead pair of Arjun and Aarohi. And, so did the lead pair fall for each other. Kritika and Karan were a hot couple till a few years back before they broke up. Talking about their first meeting at the auditions for their show together, Kritika and Karan said they did not feel anything then.
But, with time the two of them became the best of pals and after seven-eight months decided to take their relationship to the next level. Karan said:
"Initially when we were not seeing each other, everybody on the sets used to think we actually were and when we said we really are dating, their reaction was 'we already knew it and you guys were lying in the beginning' which we actually were not. There were a lot of surprises in our relationship."
However, the two broke up soon after and have moved on in their lives.
The Pavitra Rishta couple, Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput, aka Archana and Manav, were head-over-heels in love with each other. But circumstances and showbiz pressure took a toll on their relationship, and they broke up after nine years of togetherness. They were about to get married in December this year.
The outgoing Marathi mulgi, Ankita Lokhande and the shy, reserved, Sushant met on the sets of Pavitra Rishta. But, that was that. They were totally different from each other and rarely talked to each other in-between shoots. However, opposites attract seemed to be the case with these two lovebirds as they became friends and later reel as well as real lovers.
The second couple out of Ekta Kapoor’s hit show, Pavitra Rishta, for Zee TV was that of Asha Negi and Rithwik Dhanjani. They were the second leads after Ankita and Sushant (later Hiten Tejwani), who joined the cast when the show took a leap. Reprising the role of Ankita’s daughter, Purvi, Asha won the hearts of millions of fans.
And, cast opposite her was Rithwik Dhanjani aka Arjun. The beautiful Asha stole Rithwik’s heart from the first glance, but our pretty lady was blissfully unaware of it all. But, soon Asha realised her love for him and they are happily together ever since. They plan to get engaged by 2017, and we cannot wait for AshVik (as their fans lovingly call them) to be happy together forever.

The parallel leads in Ekta’s super-successful show, Tere Liye for Star Plus, Neha Saxena and Shakti Arora were paired opposite each other, and fell deeply in love while filming the show. And, their story was straight out of any of Ekta’s hit shows. The boy and girl meet, find each other rude, keep their distance only to fall head-over-heels for each other.
They started out as friends and Neha was by Shakti’s side when he was going through a rough breakup. But, soon they realised their love for each other and it was Shakti who proposed to her. He said:
“We realised we like each other. Yet, it took me around a year to actually convey my feelings to her. We shared a platonic relationship till then.”
They had a private roka ceremony in 2014, and plan to tie the knot soon.
While theirs has been an arranged marriage, Ekta Kapoor can be credited for bringing these two together. If she had not cast Ankita’s father in her hit show, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, who would have thought that Ankita and Karan would have ever met? While her father and Aly Goni might have played matchmaker for the two of them, Ekta can certainly be credited for the perfect casting!
Abhay Bhargava who plays the role of Karan’s on-screen father-in-law, turned into his real-life father-in-law when Ankita and Karan got hitched in May 2015. The two are head-over-heels in love with each other and their love sure is a treat for sore eyes in this world where relationships are known to break over tiny issues.
The lead star in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Divyanka broke up with her boyfriend of 13 years, Ssharad Malhotra in 2016 and was happily single. Vivek Dahiya was a late entrant on the hit show and unlike most couples mentioned here, did not become the best of friends. They had a very formal first meeting on Vivek’s first day of the shoot, and Divyanka just made small talk with him.
It was at a party later on that Vivek tried opening up to Divyanka and danced with her. Divyanka’s on-screen jiju, Pankaj Bhatia played matchmaker for them and told them to think about each other since they were similar in temperament, and their fans loved them together. And, the rest is history! They got married amid much fanfare in July 2016, and are currently enjoying the marital bliss together.
