'Varanasi' Trailer Launch: Mahesh Babu's Daughter, Sitara Cheers Loudest For Papa, Fans Say, 'Best'

Mahesh Babu is on cloud nine after receiving a phenomenal response for Varanasi. For the unversed, filmmaker SS Rajamouli, on November 15, 2025, had unveiled the title of his next super mega project. Titled, Varanasi, the short teaser launch event had taken place at Ramoji Film City. Now, the biggest fan among the crowd was Mahesh Babu's daughter, Sitara, who had come with her mom, Namrata Shirodkar, to support her father. For the unversed, Varanasi apart from Mahesh Babu also has Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran.

At the short teaser launch of the gigantic Globw Trotter event, a short teaser of the movie named, Varanasi was shown to the fans and the paps. Now, a video has gone viral where Sitara was seen sitting next to her papa, Mahesh Babu, and the anchor on the stage started hooting, "Jai Babu". The crowd went berserk, and everyone started screaming the same. The clip was all things cute as Sitara could also be seen raising her hands and screaming, "Jai Babu".

As seen in the clip, Mahesh Babu's darling daughter, Sitara, looked adorable in a white-hued Indo-Western sleeveless gown-like outfit. She had kept her hair half-pleated and was seen having a cheerful time with her papa. On the other side, Sitara's mom, Namrata, was also having a conversation with her daughter. As seen in the clip, Priyanka Chopra, along with filmmaker SS Rajamouli, was also seen seated at the extreme left and right ends.

Netizens loved how Sitara looked the happiest, cheering for her papa. One user, seeing the cute video, commented, "Best dad-daughter duo." The other fans called Sitara as Mahesh Babu's 'little princess' while others could not stop pouring heart comments on the video. Mahesh, as seen in the clip, had worn a yellow t-shirt, beige-hued jeans, and a brown jacket.

Mahesh Babu's Varanasi screening was delayed because of a technical glitch

SS Rajamouli, for the first time, has joined hands with Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, who plays the main role of 'Rudhra' in Varanasi. The movie worldwide is set to release in January 2027, and it will coincide with the festival of Sankranti. Well, according to a report by the ETimes, Ramoji Film City saw 50,000 fans attending the event, which was staged for an entire gigantic live spectacle. Now, the teaser was scheduled to be played on a screen of 130 ft by 100 ft. However, there was a technical issue, because of which the screening got delayed. The teaser clip was then shown to the sea of fans, and the full crowd could not stop hooting for Mahesh Babu. 

What can fans expect from the teaser of Varanasi?

For the unversed, the small yet impactful teaser showcased varied places such as Antarctica, Varanasi, Kenya, and also the Threthayuga. At the end of the teaser, Mahesh Babu is seen riding a Bull and also holding a trident. He is seen riding a bull alongside holding a trishul. Mahesh Babu is then seen riding across Varanasi, his t-shirt soaked in blood, wearing a pendant of Nandi. Even in the trailer, Mahesh Babu was seen in the avatar of Lord Ram that sent the fans all in a frenzy mode.
