Mahhi Vij Bashes Media For Reporting Stories About Her Divorce From Jay Bhanushali, 'Stop This Shit'

Popular TV couple Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali are currently making headlines after announcing their divorce after nearly 16 years of marriage. After her divorce announcement, Mahhi has been posting cryptic notes, and many media houses have started linking them to her divorce from Jay Bhanushali.

Mahhi Vij recently took a jibe at Pinkvilla for posting stories about her and Jay’s divorce. The publication posted stories from Mahhi’s IG about ‘being a good person’ and ‘coping with disappointment’. Taking to the comment, Mahhi Vij bashed the media house and commented:

“It was not for him stop stalking me. Stop this shit.”

After constant reporting about her divorce, Mahhi Vij took to her Instagram stories and posted a happy picture of herself and estranged husband, Jay Bhanushali. Along with the picture, Mahhi penned a note for the media and wrote:

“For likes and comments media can stoop to any level my stories are not for Jay…stop making it dirty jus like ur journalism.”

On January 4, 2026, Jay Bhanushali took to his Instagram Stories to share a joint post along with his estranged wife, Mahhi Vij. He mentioned that they have chosen to part ways. However, they will continue to support each other. He highlighted that for their children, they will remain the best parents and best friends. He wrote: 

"Today, we choose to part ways on a journey called life, yet we continue to have each other’s backs. Peace, growth, kindness, and humanity have always been our guiding values. For the sake of our children - Tara, Khushi, Rajveer, we commit to being the best parents, the best friends, and whatever else it takes to do what is right for them."

Further in the note, Jay shared that there was no villain in their story and that no negativity was associated with their separation. He mentioned that they chose peace over drama and sanity. He added that they will continue to respect and support each other.

Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij's divorce has been looming for a long time. According to the source, their marital troubles began when the actress started having trust issues about Jay. The source also pointed out that the couple had stopped posting pictures together, and their last family photograph was from June 2024.
