Mahira Khan is a reputed name in the Pakistani film industry, who has been garnering impeccable stardom through her performance with each successive project. After starting her career as a VJ, Mahira made her debut with Halla Bol. Thereafter, she won incomparable recognition with her dramas like Neeyat, Humsafar and others. In 2017, she made her Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan’s film, Raees.
Recently, Mahira Khan attended an event hosted by the Arts Council Of Pakistan Karachi. She looked exquisite as always, donning a silk ombre saree in pastel hue. While the diva interacted merrily amongst various topics, she was startled when one of her fans from the audience threw an object at her on-stage.

Well, the object thrown at her wasn’t after all harmful, but was merely a flower wrapped in a piece of paper, nonetheless, she was startled with the gesture. Later on, Mahira took to her IG handle and dropped a clip from the same event. She penned a longish note, addressing the incident which took place. An excerpt from it can be read as:
“What happened at the event was uncalled for. No one should think it’s ok to throw something on stage, even if it’s a flower wrapped up in a paper plane. It sets the wrong precedent. It is unacceptable. There are times I get scared, not just for myself, but for others who may be trapped in a mob like situation.”
In one of her earlier discussions with her brand, Mashion’s roundtable discussion, Mahira Khan talked about a moment during the initial years of her career, when someone from the film industry made a rude comment on her facial features and even suggested that she should get a nose job done. “Allah ki kasam main jab iss industry mein aayi thi tab (log mujhe kehte) ‘Ye naak nahi khatarnaak hai'. I swear and it was at that time when everybody was getting whatever (job done), and I was like ‘Nahi, naak nahi katungi.’”

After a failed marriage with her ex-husband, Ali Aksari in 2015, Mahira Khan gave love a second chance in her life and tied the knot with Salim Karim. While her wedding glimpses were straight out of a fairytale, within a very short time, rumours were rife that the actress was pregnant with her second child. For the unversed, Mahira has a son, Azlaan from her first marriage. Later on, while speaking with MashionPK, she opened up about it and dispelled such conjectures once and for all. She addressed how people simply misinterpreted the fact that she had merely gained weight.
