Bollywood industry is always looked at for the stars' outstanding acting and sartorial fashion choices. Apart from this, what attracts most is the relationships maintained by the stars in their personal life. However, a few cold wars in the industry have also often grabbed the eyeballs, including that of Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha, Govinda and David Dhawan, and many more. Today, we stumbled upon one such pair of Bollywood beauties, Sharmila Tagore and Mala Sinha, whose cold wars had also hit the headlines for their sour incidents while filming the 1968 movie, Humsaya.
During the filming of the 1968 movie, Humsaya, Mala Sinha and Sharmila Tagore were two of the most leading names in the film industry. And the duo's competition for the best styling sense, dialogue delivery and songs was almost known to everyone. However, the tensions began between them right from the time when they worked together on the film, Daag, five years ago. But the tension between the two only came at its peak when the duo came together for the 1968 film's shooting, and they were seen at odds right from the beginning of the shoot.

However, since the film's director, Joy Mukherjee, who also played dual roles in the the movie, required two leading ladies, thus, Mala and Sharmila somehow worked together. And Joy infact tried his best to keep them apart, to avoid any such incidents. But during a key confrontation scene, Mala, being a bit more experienced in the industry, reportedly slapped Shamila, resulting in Joy wrapping up the sequence.
Despite Mala Sinha's alleged incident with Sharmila Tagore creating tumult in the media, the former later denied it completely. In an interview, when Mala was asked about the slapping story, she denied its occurrence. Not only that, the Anpadh actress mentioned that the story was fabricated only to generate publicity for the film, Humsaya. In Mala's words:
"Such rumors were merely an attempt to create some publicity for the film."
