Had he continued playing, Brogdon was on his way to take the New York Knicks' open roster spot.
As per some reports, Malcolm Brogdon was under the impression that he'd be in Mike Brown's rotation, as he was expected to be on the New York Knicks' opening night roster. Talking about Brogdon's official retirement statement, he told ESPN's Shams Charania that he had 'proudly given' his mind, body, and spirit to basketball over the last few decades. During this period, he had made many sacrifices, but he is grateful for all the opportunities and success that came his way.

Throughout Malcolm Brogdon's journey from playing for Virginia to dominating the NBA and eventually hanging up his sneakers, one constant person has stood by his side. The person we are talking about is his wife, Victoria Janowski, who has been cheering for him right from his university days. According to several reports, Malcolm and Victoria met for the first time when they were studying at the University of Virginia. While Malcolm was pursuing a B.A. degree, she was a student of the Bachelor of Arts in English.
