The Telugu film, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, starring Chiranjeevi and Venkatesh Daggubati is all set for its OTT release. For those who do not know, after a successful theatrical run, the film is all set to premiere on Zee5 from February 11, 2026. Plotline of the Telugu action-comedy film

The film, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu follows a national security officer, 'Shankara Vara Prasad' (played by Chiranjeevi). The movie opens with 'Shankara' falling in love with 'Sasirekha' (played by Nayanthara), who is the daughter of a wealthy businessman. However, after a conflict between 'Shankara' and his father-in-law, the couple heads for a divorce, which separates 'Shankara' from his wife and children.

Years later, 'Sasirekha's' father gets a threat from an enemy and 'Shankara' is assigned to protect them. 'Shankara' sees this as an opportunity to reconcile with his estranged wife and children. To keep the family safe, 'Shankara' remains close to the family and doesn't reveal his full identity to the family members. Because of this, he is able to spend some quality time with his children. 

Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu ending explained (Spoilers ahead)

'Shankara' is having the best time of his life as he is able to live with his estranged wife and children, while making sure of their safety. However, as the film progresses, the threats against the family increases, which forces 'Shankara' to reveal his true identity in front of the family members. Towards the end of the film, 'Shankara' bravely faces the enemies and finally defeats them. The Telugu action film ends with 'Shankara' reuniting with his family as a husband and a father. 

The director made Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu as a tribute to Chiranjeevi

Recently, the director of the film, Anil Ravipudi opened up about the success of his Telugu film, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. He also stated that the film was a way to show his love towards the lead actor, Chiranjeevi. Anil shared that he added some of Chiranjeevi’s iconic moments in the film to express his love. According to Cinema Express, Anil was quoted as saying:

"For this film, I consciously built the story around Chiranjeevi garu’s character. I wanted to present him from every angle. Luckily, it worked. I wanted to take audiences on a time machine back to Chiranjeevi’s classic films. I love the Jwala character from Chiranjeevi's Chantabbayi, so I used that name for Catherine Tresa’s role. There’s also a scene where he breaks a wall, reminiscent of Gang Leader. This film is my expression of love for Chiranjeevi garu, and I was mentally prepared for it from the start of promotions."

When the Telugu film was released, it received immense love from the audience. For those who do not know, according to a report by Cinema Express, the Telugu film crossed Rs. 300 mark.
