TCS techie Manav Sharma, who ended his life by hanging himself from the ceiling fan of his home, has stirred the conversation on 'men's rights' and how they are lonely. However, his wife, Nikita Sharma, came forward and revealed the truth of the night he took the drastic step of ending his life. She even shared WhatsApp text messages, proving how she tried informing his family.
Ever since Manav Sharma's 6-minute video just before his death surfaced, people have been worried about the future of marriages and women using their rights to harass men. But it seems like this is not the case as Nikita Sharma, Agra-based techie's wife, who was working with reputed MNC, TCS Mumbai, shared a WhatsApp text to her sister-in-law. In the messages, she informed her sister-in-law that Manav was extremely drunk.
To which Manav's sister told her not to worry and that she should rather sleep. Nikita, who was getting anxious by then, texted back, stating that he had kept a chair on the bed and had tied a dupatta around his neck, as she had seen in the video call. He would do something.
Nikita texted his sister that she could not even text his father, so she was calling her. However, his sister replied that if someone doesn't understand, one should leave them alone.
In a video wherein Nikita shared her side of the story and stated that on the day, her husband committed suicide, he had dropped her to her parents' home. She clarified that Manav accused her of having extra-marital affair, but it was her past and nothing happened after marriage. However, after learning about her past, her husband created drama; he tried harming him. Nikita added that her husband would also hurt her after drinking. He would beat her and try to slit her hand. She said:

"Yeh baat sun kar halla karna shuru kiya, apne ap ko harm kiya 2 baar 3 baar fansi lagane ka try kiya. Mai ne teen baar unko bachaya hai unko fansi ka fanda kata hai. Mai unko Agra lekar aayi or vo mereko kushi-khushi ghar par chor ke gaye hai. Mai unko Agra lekar aayi hoon. Or usi raat unhone vo sab kiya."
Nikita claimed that she had tried informing Manav's parents about his behaviour towards her. She even called them, but they told her that the couple should resolve it on their own and no one can do anything.
Nikita added that the day her husband committed suicide, she had connected with his sister, and told her that he would do something wrong. She revealed that Manav had called her as he was about to hang himself from the ceiling fan. However, his sister ignored and asked her to sleep. She was quoted as saying:
"Jis din vo mara hai us din uski behan ko call karke mai ne bola hai ki, 'Vo fansi pe hai, mai ne photos dekhi hai, didi aap kuch karo'. Vo boli, 'Leave, tu so ja, vo kuch nahi karega. Meri baat hogayi hai vo kuch nahi karega.'"
