Maniesh Paul Cried Recalling His Daughter's Birth, Bharti Says, 'Biwi Behosh Thi, Yeh Kachua Bana'

Maniesh Paul recently got emotional after recalling his daughter's birth, and Bharti Singh revealed that the actor had to shoot the next day.

Maniesh Paul is a prominent Indian TV personality who has done a myriad of work on TV. He has been a VJ, reality TV host, comedian and actor who won hearts with his simplicity, humour and grounded nature. Despite coming from a middle-class family in Delhi, Maniesh came to Mumbai with a dream of being an actor. He worked hard from scratch to achieve success, but the journey wasn't easy. He has seen everything from sacrificing his family time to losing shows, getting replaced, and facing disappointments. Recently, Maniesh Paul got emotional when he recalled one such incident during his daughter's birth, Saisha. 

Maniesh Paul reveals he was reading scripts in hospital amid his daughter's birth 

Maniesh Paul, a close friend of Bharti Singh, recently appeared on her podcast. During the conversation, Bharti and Maniesh revealed their friendship began during the initial days of their career when they were a part of Comedy Circus. Moreover, the latter mentioned that Bharti had also seen him from the time when he embraced fatherhood. Bharti chimed in and revealed that when his daughter, Saisha, was born at night, Maniesh had to shoot for Comedy Circus in the morning, where he played the character of a tortoise in his act. In her words:

“Saisha ke time pe toh kaam kare rahe hum, dono becchara biwi padi behosh aur yeh kachua bana tha. Aaj hum maa-baap hai, ab lagta hai, uss waqt zaroorat bhi thi paise ki, biwi se bhi guilt ki isss time pe uske saath hona chahiye.”

Maniesh got emotional recalling the time and mentioned that it was an interesting time, but that marked the beginning of his success. He stated that he remembers the time when he read scripts amid his daughter's birth because he had to buy a house and pay EMIs and loans. It was a difficult time, but God has been kind to him. Maniesh said:

“Yaad hai mujhe mein hospital mai baitha hua tha aur script ki reading chal rahi thi. Woh jod ke ghar lena tha, EMIs bhi thi, but I think God has been really kind. Woh himmat nahi tooti, waha se hospital se script padhi. Bharti kehti hai haaye, naya naya baap bana hai, kachua bana gaya.”

Maniesh Paul shares his daughter thought he lived somewhere else when he made his film debut

Maniesh Paul's daughter, Saisha, has turned 14 years old and is spotted with him at the airport or other places. But, during his conversation, Maniesh recalled a special incident with his daughter. The popular TV host shared that when he was shooting for his debut film, Mickey Virus, he was busy with promotions, shoots and gym sessions, among other things. So, he moved into another room at home to ensure his family would not be disturbed if he returned late or left early. Also, he couldn't meet his daughter who in turn, felt he wasn't living with them. Recalling the memory, he said:

“Mein raat ko aata tha wo so rahi hoti thi, main subah jaldi jaa raha hu, wo so rahi thi, toh literally woh wala haal tha ki main mil hi nahi raha tha uss se. Toh main dhai mahine baad uss se properly mila. Chooti thi, toh maine kaha aaj main aap logo ke paas aapke room mein sounga because mein late aata tha toh alag room mein sota tha taki disturb na ho. Toh mujhe kehti wow papa aaj aap hamare ghar mein rahoge, toh mujhe laga yaar bache ko pata hi nahi mein ghar mein hota hu.”

Maniesh Paul began his career by hosting cultural events in schools and colleges in Delhi. He later moved to Mumbai and hosted Sunday Tango on Star Plus in 2002. The actor also worked as a VJ, Radio Jockey.
