Mansi Srivastava and Mohit Abrol recently confirmed that they have parted ways and have called off their engagement. Ishqbaaz fame Mansi and Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi actor, Mohit had been in a relationship for 6 years. In fact, they had also exchanged rings on August 21, 2016. But sadly, in May 2019, Mansi and Mohit went their separate ways with broken hearts.
Confirming the news of calling off their engagement and their eventual breakup, Mansi Srivastava had recently shared with The Times of India, "Yes, we have broken up. Sometimes things aren't meant to be and we accepted that we were not meant for each other." She further added that there are no hard feelings between them, "We have no hard feelings for each other. Mohit and I haven't spoken anything wrong about each other and wouldn't want to ever. Also, I don't like talking about my personal life in public and like to keep that privacy to my own-self."
Mansi Srivastava has now given another interview to the Bombay Times citing her and Mohit Abrol's reasons for parting ways. Sharing that there were irreconcilable differences and compatibility issues, Mansi was quoted as saying, "There were compatibility issues and lack of understanding. Also, we wanted different things from life. Mohit and I gave our relationship many chances, but it just didn’t work out. I realised that it makes no sense to drag the relationship on and hence, I decided to end it in January this year. Looking back, I feel that we could have worked it out if we had tried to handle things maturely and with a bit more understanding. But it’s all in the past now."
Mansi Srivastava also added that the breakup was a mutual decision and it was cordial. She had further added, "I am glad that the break-up has been cordial. I cherish my time with Mohit and will always wish the best for him. In fact, I don’t mind being his friend." Mansi also shared with the media portal that it was really difficult initially post their breakup, "It was extremely difficult initially, as Mohit and I have literally grown up together. We have known each other since our days in Delhi, when we were working with the same airlines. I was 23 years old when we fell in love, and I wanted to marry him immediately. However, our families wanted us to settle in our careers first. It was difficult for me to call it off, and I am sure it was equally difficult for him, too. But we are better off without each other, for our personal and professional growth."
In an earlier interview, Mansi Srivastava had opened up about the hasty decision to get engaged to Mohit Abrol. She had shared, "It was a sudden decision as Mohit's brother stays in Abu Dhabi. He comes once in a while. As he was present, we decided to exchange rings during his stay. Within two weeks we prepared everything. It was a fun picnic for our family members."
Recalling their love story, Mansi had quipped in a throwback interview, "We are from Delhi and were flying with the same airways. We first met on a flight for Milan. It was love at first sight and we have been dating for five years now." Mansi had also revealed as to what she likes about Mohit the most, "He is a passionate person. He is caring and I feel protected around him. His presence is empowering."
Mansi Srivastava and Mohit Abrol's parents were not too interested in their engagement and even opposed the two. They wanted these two to settle down first in their respective careers. Mansi had said once, "Our families opposed the decision as they wanted us to settle down in our respective careers first. Now that we have made it, they want us to tie the knot."
