Tushar Ghadigaonkar, a well-known Marathi actor and director, died by suicide on June 20, 2025. For the unversed, Tushar earned fame through his acting in Marathi theatres, films and serials. Although the exact cause behind the drastic step taken by the actor is still unknown, there are numerous speculations surrounding his untimely death. Tushar’s sudden demise has left the Marathi industry shocked. Now, on June 21, 2025, Marathi actor, Ankur Wadhave penned down an emotional note and grieved the loss of his friend.

Soon after the news of Tushar Ghadigaonkar’s untimely death came to light, it sent shockwaves through the regional entertainment industry, specifically the Marathi entertainment industry. For the uninitiated, Tushar died by suicide at the mere age of 32. On June 21, 2025, Marathi actor, Ankur Wadhave shared a heart-wrenching note on social media, expressing his sorrow and grief over the tragic death of Tushar. Taking to his Instagram handle, he wrote:

"Friend why? For what? Things come and go! We should find a way but suicide is not the way! Agreed the current situation is strange but this decision cannot be made Tushar Ghadigaonkar. If you lose then we all lose."

Speculations around the reason behind Tushar Ghadigaonkar's suicide

Ever since the tragic death of Tushar Ghadigaonkar came to light, there have been a lot of speculations surrounding the cause of his suicide. The initial reports suggested that the 32-year-old actor died by suicide due to work-related stress, as he was not getting enough opportunities. Now, according to a report by ABP, the speculations of Tushar’s depression due to a shortage of work are a bit vague, as he had recently appeared in a Marathi serial, Sakha Majha Pandurang, on Sun Marathi. The report by ABP also brought a new angle that can be a cause behind Tushar’s death.

The report suggested that the reason behind the actor’s suicide, is not professional but a bit personal. Tushar spent his childhood days in Bhandup, a suburban locality in Mumbai, Maharashtra. A few years ago, after his marriage, he moved to a rented house in Ram Mandir, a western suburb. For the unversed, Tushar tied the knot with Siddhi in 2022. The couple had a hush-hush wedding in the presence of close friends and family. Although, there is no official confirmation regarding the cause behind Tushar’s suicide, there are speculations that the actor had been going through stress due to some family disputes.

Tushar had worked on the small screen in the Marathi serials, including Lavangi Mirchi, Mann Kasturi Re, Sukhachya Sarini He Man Baware. Recently, Tushar also worked in the Marathi serial, Sakha Majha Pandurang. Besides being a TV actor, Tushar also tried his luck in several Marathi films, including Bhaubali, Zombivli, and many others. He was active in theatre and performed in the popular Marathi musical play, Sangeet Bibat Akhyan. He also made his debut in Bollywood with the film, Malaal. In addition to acting, Tushar has also directed the show, Tuzi Mazi Yari and created several music videos under his own banner, Ghanta Naad Production.
