TMZ identified the mystery woman, Marissa Springer, who was seen getting intimate with Desmond Scott in a viral video. After receiving immense backlash for the same, the model took to Instagram to directly clarify that she was not the third person in Desmond and Kristy's marriage. Calling out the trolls who accused her of breaking up the duo's marriage, she said:

"I am going to say this one time and one time only, I am not the one he cheated with."

Marissa went ahead to address several false rumours about her swirling on the internet, including her gender identity. She highlighted that ever since her name has been revealed in the media, she has received immense hate and threats directed at her family. Consequently, Marissa urged everyone to stop spreading false rumours blaming her. Sharing what happened between her and Desmond on January 11, 2026, she said:

"I'm pretty sure when you guys meet someone at a club, you don't interrogate them about who or what their social media status is. We obviously had many drinks. The vibes were there. The moral of the story: nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors.

Marissa Springer is a 24-year-old Houston-based model pursuing a master's degree in business. According to sources close to the situation, she is not a public figure, and she had no connection to Desmond before the night they met at the bar. Moreover, she was unaware of his identity and fame. According to the outlet, they were introduced through a mutual friend and quickly hit it off. According to witnesses, the pair had instant chemistry; they drank, flirted, and things escalated between them. She was seen sitting in his lap and he was seen kissing her, a day after his divorce announcement became public. 

Desmond and Kristy Scott have filed for divorce after 11 years of marital life 

Kristy Scott and Desmond Scott filed for divorce on December 30, 2025, in Harris County, Texas. The former cited her husband's infidelity as the cause behind the separation, which left no chance of reconciliation for her. Meanwhile, the former couple, who met as teenagers and have been together ever since, welcomed two sons, Vance, 7, and Westin, 6, in their marriage. Before the bar video went viral, Desmond had already addressed the divorce publicly. In an Instagram Stories post on January 10, 2026, he apologised to Kristy, their family while accepting his mistake and wrote:

"During this period, I made choices that I am not proud of. I took responsibility for those actions, shared them with her directly and personally, and ultimately we decided to divorce."
