Mrs movie has garnered a whole lot of attention lately. The movie, which features Sanya Malhotra in the lead role, showcases how a woman finds her identity amidst navigating her life in a kitchen. While the movie received a whole lot of praise, the opposition was also there equally by men who felt that the movie showcased them in a negative light. However, recently, an incident happened that left internet users reacting and divided. A married woman, who has a high-paying job recently took to the social media handle and shared how she had to be forced to cook, and her revelations left netizens to react.
Taking to her Reddit, a woman shared her feelings after being forced into cooking by her in-laws. She revealed that she has a full-time job, which keeps her busy, and she earns a decent amount from the same. Going further, the lady shared that she has been living with her husband, but every time her in-laws visit her or vice versa, she gets forced to cook. She added that it doesn't mean that she didn't cook for them, but in general, she doesn't like to cook, and she didn't do it for her own parents either.
Sharing more about what left her to react, the lady said that her father-in-law came to visit them, and out of nowhere he just gave off to their home cook, stating that his daughter-in-law would cook for them. The employed married woman said that she just gave a decent smile and walked towards her room, and she didn't want to leave her room the next morning as she had no wish to look at her in-laws' faces as it made her super annoyed. She further shared that her in-laws always kept commenting on her cooking, and not only them but their relatives followed the same as well for a long time.
As soon as the woman vented out her feelings, netizens rushed to the comment section to pen down their opinions. While most of the netizens came in support of the woman, others tagged her reaction to be 'overly'. One user penned, "A lot of people don't prefer food cooked by Househelps going by the recent events. Maybe you're a great cook, and they just want to have it once. It could be your mom next who asks the same thing." Supporting the woman, a netizen commented, "Why would your fil decide if the cook can have the day off? That's your/ your husband's decision. And just so you cook? Or is there more to it? If he does it, ask your husband to cook for them lol." A third comment can be read as, "You're definitely not overreacting. Just because you're a DIL doesn’t mean you're obligated to prove yourself in the kitchen."
