Mary Millben Announces To Re-Air Her Viral Video Of Singing 'Om Jai Jagdish Hare' On Diwali 2025

Mary Millben announces to re-air her golden performance on Diwali

On October 15, 2025, actress and singer, Mary Millben took to her Instagram handle to share that Diwali is a festival that celebrates the win of light over darkness. In her heartfelt note, she also asked her fans to take on God’s light this Diwali. She concluded the note by mentioning the 5th anniversary of her singing Om Jai Jagdish Hare and on the same occasion, the video will re-air on October 20, 2025. Her note can be read as:

"1 John 1:5, ‘God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.’ Diwali centralizes on light over darkness. If we claim fellowship with God, we must live lives that reflect his light — lives of truth, love, and righteousness. This Diwali, let us take on God’s nature and his light. Marking its 5-year anniversary, experience Mary’s full performance of ‘Om Jai Jagdish Hare’ re-airing next Monday, Oct. 20th!"

Mary Millben sang Om Jai Jagdish Hare on Diwali 2020

Mary Millben first performed the devotional aarti, Om Jai Jagdish Hare in November 2020, on the occasion of Diwali. It was filmed at the Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona, Arizona. The place around her was decorated with diyas, floating candles and flowers. In the viral video, Mary was seen wearing a traditional orange and gold lehenga choli with statement jewellery and a bindi. 

Since 2020, it has become an annual tradition, as her video is always re-aired on Diwali. On November 12, 2020, Mary took to her X (formerly Twitter) handle to release the video. In her post, she spoke about how the aarti is sung in almost all Indian households and worldwide. She described Om Jai Jagdish Hare as a song of worship and celebration. Her post can be read as:

She began singing at the age of five in the children's choir at Wildewood Christian Church in Oklahoma City. Reportedly, Mary's career took off in 2005, when she worked as a summer White House intern for President George W. Bush and later served as a White House presidential appointee from September 2006 to January 2009. In June 2023, she performed the Indian national anthem, Jana Gana Mana, at the Ronald Reagan Building during the U.S. visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
