Maryam Nawaz Sharif's son, Junaid Safdar got married to the love of his life, Ayesha Saif, in 2021. The glimpses from their wedding made rounds on social media, making all the hearts swoon. However, for the last few months, reports have been rife that nothing is going right in Junaid and Ayesha's personal lives. Well, it seems like the reports have been right, and Junaid and Ayesha have been going through some tough times in their personal lives, as recently, Junaid announced his divorce from his wife post almost two years of marital bliss.
Taking to his IG handle, on October 12, 2023, Junaid Safdar dropped a picture and announced his divorce from Ayesha Saif. In the picture note, Junaid wrote that the ongoing rumours about his divorce are actually true and it's their personal matter. "News about my divorce is true. This is an entirely private matter and I request the media to respect our privacy. I hope with this decision we find our peace In Shaa Allah. I will speak no further on this matter. I wish her well.”

However, it cannot be yet determined for which reason Junaid Safdar and Ayesha Saif have opted for such a drastic step after a few years of their wedding. As per several reports, soon after announcing his divorce from Ayesha Saif, the former removed all his pictures with his ex-wife from his social media handle.
For those who don't know, Junaid Safdar is the son of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President and Chief Organiser, Maryam Nawaz, and the grandson of Nawaz Sharif.

Although a lot of people know about Junaid Safdar, very few people are familiar with his ex-wife, Ayesha Saif. For the unversed, Ayesha Saif is the daughter of the former head of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and a multi-millionaire businessman, Saif ur Rehman Khan. As per a report by Geo News, Ayesha was a director at Redco International, which is the largest industrial and contracting group based in Qatar.

It was in December 2021 when the ex-couple, Junaid Safdar and Ayesha Saif exchanged vows at an extravagant wedding in London. On their D-day, the then-bride, Ayesha opted for a golden-hued dress that had the stone-crafted sequinned embellishment all over. With a statement neckpiece with green stone and matching maang teeka and earrings, the diva finalised her look. On the other hand, the then-groom, Junaid complemented Ayesha in an off-white sherwani. For the unversed, Junaid and Ayesha had their wedding reception in Lahore.
