'Mass Jathara' OTT Release Date Revealed, When And Where To Watch Ravi Teja's Action Comedy

Mass Jathara, the most-anticipated Telugu action comedy starring Ravi Teja and Sreeleela, was released theatrically on October 31, 2025. Although the early reviews and buzz surrounding the film were positive, it failed to perform well at the box office. In fact, netizens called the film, a 'complete entertainer' and a 'blockbuster loading'. Now, Mass Jathara, directed by Bhanu Bogavarapu, is gearing up for its digital premiere.

Ravi Teja is the protagonist of the film, Mass Jathara. He played the role of 'Lakshman Bheri', who is a sincere transport police officer, while Sreeleela played the role of the teacher named 'Ammu'. Despite having a 33-year age gap, the duo romanced each other on-screen. Now, OTT giant platform, Netflix announced on November 25, 2025, that Mass Jathara will stream from November 28, 2025. The film will be available in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. Sharing a poster featuring Ravi Teja, they wrote:

"This massy fellow will bring the celebration to your home. Watch Mass Jathara on Netflix out, 28 November in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam."

The story of Mass Jathara revolves around Ravi Teja, who played the role of 'Lakshman Bheri', a responsible and sincere transport police officer. Alongside Ravi Teja and Sreeleela, the action comedy also stars Naveen Chandra. Naveen Chandra played 'K. G. Reddy', a bad guy. His fight with 'Lakshman' becomes the heart of the film. Ravi, being a police officer in the film, was in charge of a dangerous dr*gs mission to track down 'K. G. Reddy' and his gang. The film also showcased a romantic angle featuring 57-year-old Ravi Teja and 24-year-old Sreeleela. This angle has brought intensity to high-octane drama.

When Mass Jathara's director, Bhanu Bogavarapu, called Ravi Teja a 'driving force' behind the film

Earlier, this year, in 2025, Mass Jathara’s director, Bhanu, took to his X handle (formerly Twitter) and shared his experience working with the superstar. He also called him the 'driving force'. The film was the directorial debut of Bhanu. He wrote:

"At the heart of this journey stands one man, my hero, our Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja Garu. Sir, you are the driving force behind this film, the fire that kept us all going. Your energy on set, your trust in me, and your larger-than-life aura made this debut unforgettable. Working with you has not only been a dream come true but also my biggest learning and proudest blessing."

Early reactions of the audience to the movie, Mass Jathara

According to reports, Mass Jathara was made on an estimated budget of Rs. 70 crores. But the action comedy starring Ravi Teja couldn’t perform well at the box office and could make only Rs. 19 crore as per a Hindustan Times report. However, the early reactions of the audience portrayed a different picture. Calling Mass Jathara, a 'complete entertainer', a user wrote, "#MassJathara Censor Info: First is completely loaded with vintage #RaviTeja swag, style and comedy timing with power-packed interval sequence, whereas 2nd half is filled with action blocks, energetic songs and high-octane climax + a complete entertainer bomma for sure." 

Another user penned, "#MassJathara Audience will be mind blown in jathara sequence.. You will see @Naveenc212 Peak. Everything is placed correctly. This time, sure shot Blockbuster is loading.
