MasterChef Pankaj Bhadouria Remembers The Time When Akshay Kumar Pranked And Stole Her Watch

Pankaj Bhadouria is undoubtedly one of the prominent names in the field of chefs and culinary experts. She rose to fame after emerging as the winner of MasterChef India Season 1 in 2010. For the unversed, Pankaj was initially a school teacher, who left her job to follow her passion and entered into the reality show. After her win, she started to host a number of cooking shows on television, as well as on social media. She has also authored a number of cook books. And recently, Pankaj opened up about an interesting anecdote when she met Bollywood actor, Akshay Kumar.

Pankaj Bhadouria recalls her first meeting with Akshay Kumar

Through a recent post on her IG handle, Pankaj Bhadouria remembered her first meeting with Bollywood’s superstar, Akshay Kumar. She walked down the memory lane and recalled the time when she was shooting for MasterChef India in Udaipur, for a task, which also included the actor as a special guest. Pankaj revealed how she was suffering from a tough migraine, when Akshay came forward and shared with her his own medication to deal with it. In her words:

“During MasterChef, we were shooting in Udaipur for a task. I was suffering from a severe Migraine and the heat was worsening the situation for me. That is when Akshay Kumar not only shared his own medication for migraine with me and consoled me.”

Pankaj claims Akshay Kumar slyly stole her wristwatch on their first meet

Continuing with her thread of memories, Pankaj Bhadouria then narrated how in the process of their conversation, Akshay Kumar slyly pulled a prank on her and stole her wristwatch. In the several pictures accompanying her posts, Pankaj revealed how Akshay could be seen clearly placing his hand on her wristwatch, and during their conversation, slyly removed it without her notice. In her words:

“…but also, in the process, very slyly slipped off my watch from my hand! He was such a prankster! Notice his hand on my wrist slipping it off……and then my watch was gone! But yes, this gave me a reason to forget my woes and smile and move on! My MasterChef Journey is full of such wonderful memories! Let me know if you want me to share more of them!”

When Pankaj revealed how her previous job of a school teacher helped her in the MasterChef competition

Earlier, during a conversation with HospiBuz, Pankaj Bhadouria reflected on the key takeaways from her earlier job as a school teacher, which helped her to bag the crown of the winner in the tough and challenging MasterChef competition. The talented chef explained how as a school teacher, she was already trained to work within a strict deadline, and plan her work beforehand, which also became exceptionally useful tools for her in her passion towards cooking.

Pankaj Bhadouria’s personal life

Pankaj Bhadouria was born in New Delhi to her parents, and she also has a younger brother. At the age of 13, she lost her father, and thereafter her mother, when she was just about 22. Many don’t know that Pankaj even holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Lucknow in English Literature. In her personal life, Pankaj is married to Charu Samarth, and the couple is blessed with their two children, Sonalika and Siddhant.
