Prince of Brunei, Abdul Mateen, recently took to his Instagram handle and announced that he and his wife, Princess Anisha Rosnah, are expecting their first child. The news has brought immense happiness not only to the family but also to the state of Brunei, as they celebrate the joyous occasion. The 34-year-old Prince shared a black-and-white photograph that shows him and his wife holding hands on a balcony.
Both looked adorable in their ensembles: Prince wore a white shirt and pants, while Princess Anisha donned a white suit and appeared to be cradling her baby bump. Taking to his Instagram handle, Prince Mateen penned a short yet sweet caption. It could be read as saying:
"And then there were 3."

However, it was nothing new for the odd four lakh citizens of Brunei, as the small Southeast Asian nation has been home to one of the world's wealthiest royals for several years. While Anisha was a commoner before her marriage, she still hails from a distinguished lineage; her grandfather, Pehin Dato Isa, served as an advisor to the Sultan of Brunei and was a prominent government figure during the 1960s and 1970s. Her brother, Danial Deen Isa-Kalebic, is known to share a close friendship with Prince Mateen.
The Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, is the world's longest-reigning monarch. He comes from a family that has ruled the country for over 600 years. He ascended to the throne in 1967. The royal family of Brunei is believed to be one of the world's richest royal families. From their extravagant collection of cars to the massive palace, there is no denying that the family enjoys all the luxuries life could offer.
Congratulations, Prince Mateen and Princess Anisha!
