'Mayasabha Season 2' OTT Release, When And Where To Watch Aadhi Pinisetty's Political Drama Series

Mayasabha, the political drama series directed by Deva Katta, is already making a lot of noise. The film starring Aadhi Pinisetty is based on two political legends, Nara Chandra Babu Naidu and YS Rajasekhar Reddy, who have played a key role in Andhra Pradesh’s political history. Aadhi Pinisetty portrays N. Chandra Babu Naidu, while Chaitanya Rao plays Y. S. Rajasekhar Reddy on-screen. Mayasabha is a nine-episode political drama series, which is already a hit. Now that the series has won many hearts, the makers have Season 2 on the cards.

When and where can you watch Mayasabha Season 2?

According to multiple reports, a significant portion of Mayasabha Season 2 has been shot already. Filmmaker Deva Katta, renowned for his cult classics such as Vennela, Prasthanam, and Autonagar Surya, has already shot key scenes for Season 2. Currently, the filmmaker is working on the script, closely examining the points that resonated with the first season. The fine-tuning is being done so that Season 2 becomes an engaging sequel. Once these fine-tunings are done, the production work will begin soon. According to the reports, the makers of Mayasabha plan to release Season 2 in January 2026 on Sony LIV.

What will be the plotline of Mayasabha Season 2?

Mayasabha Season 2 will feature the uprise of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, a.k.a NTR. Famous Malayalam actor, Sai Kumar, will portray the role of NTR on-screen. The storyline will also showcase the relationship between NTR and his son-in-law, N. Chandra Babu Naidu. For the unversed, N. Chandra Babu Naidu is married to NTR’s daughter, Nara Bhuvaneshwari. Veteran actor, Nasser will join the cast as media proprietor, Ramoji Rao. Nasser’s presence in Season 2 gives a hint of a tussle between media and politics.

Deva Katta reveals that Mayasabha Season 2 will have ten times more drama and challenges

Deva Katta recently sat for an interview with Zoom. He revealed that the second season of Mayasabha will have ten times more drama and challenges. He mentioned that the characters will turn grey a bit due to some unavoidable circumstances. In his words:

"It'll take us time to assess, to observe and absorb, because the second season will have like 10 times more drama and 10 times more challenges because it is rivals. The characters have to turn grey a bit. Unless the circumstances take them, even though they are idealistic and heroic and all. Based on that, we'll calculate the timeline to bring about the next season."

Aadhi Pinisetty shares that he tried to be honest with his role

Aadhi Pinisetty’s character’s name in Mayasabha is 'Kakarla Krishnama Naidu'. Speaking to DT Next, Aadhi shared that he immediately connected with his character after hearing the script. He mentioned that he and the director, Deva, had discussed the character arc for almost 40 to 50 times on sets. Aadhi also shared that he tried to be honest with his role as 'Kakarla Krishnama Naidu'. He was quoted as saying:

"Deva had written Krishnama Naidu in such a way that he is intelligent, passionate, he has this love for people and development, and his friendship with Rami Reddy. All these were relatable to me, so I immediately connected with the character. I enjoyed playing with him because it allowed me to connect with my personality. Deva and I would have discussed this arc some 40 to 50 times on sets, where he appreciated me. I was only being honest about what he wrote."
