Lindsay Lohan has given birth to her first child. The Parent Trap actress and her husband, Bader Shammas, have been blessed with a beautiful, healthy son, according to a statement provided to The Associated Press on July 17, 2023.
The statement further mentioned that the family is over the moon in love. Lindsay gave birth to her son in Dubai, but the exact date of her son’s birth has not been revealed to the public yet. She has named her son, Luai, which is an Arabic name that means shield or protector.

Lindsay shared the news of her pregnancy on Instagram in March, and she captioned the post ‘coming soon’ with a picture of a onesie. The actress has been living abroad for several years and has been married to Bader Shammas since last year. Lindsay tied the knot with Bader in July 2022 in a private ceremony. She shared a picture of her leaning on her husband and captioned it:
“I am the luckiest woman in the world. You found me and knew that I wanted to find happiness and grace all at the same time. I am stunned that you are my husband. My life and my everything. Every woman should feel like this every day.”
While living in Dubai, Lindsay met Bader, a finance analyst born in Kuwait, and he currently works for Credit Suisse as an Assistant Vice President. The Mean Girls actress previously announced that Bader proposed to her months ago and he is not a Hollywood type. She proudly said that one would not see any images of them in the papers. Michael Lohan, Lindsay Lohan’s father, later remarked about Bader and he mentioned how his daughter has been dating a man who dislikes being in the spotlight.

In an interview with Allure in June, Lindsay revealed to the publication that she is very excited to have a child and start a new phase in her life. She also spoke candidly about juggling her professional and personal lives. Lindsay also shed light on experiencing a broad spectrum of emotions as she was going to be a mother.
Lindsay added that the feeling is overwhelming but in a good way. She did not shy away from taking a piece of advice from her Freaky Friday co-star, Jamie Lee Curtis. The latter advised Lindsay to just bring the baby with her, and everything will be fine then. Lindsay's mother, Dina Lohan, also revealed to People magazine that her daughter has always desired to have children.

Lindsay has been involved in several high-profile relationships throughout the years. One of her first known partners was the actor, Wilmer Valderrama back in 2004. In 2006, she dated Harry Morton, who is the heir to the Hard Rock Cafe. Two years later, in 2008, she was romantically linked to DJ Samantha Ronson. More recently, in 2016, she was in a relationship with Russian businessman, Egor Tarabasov, who lived in London.
While Lindsay used to be a frequent subject of tabloid gossip, she has since maintained a lower public profile. Recently, she starred in Netflix's Falling for Christmas and her next project is a romantic comedy, Irish Wish.
