Who Is Celina Jaitly's Husband Peter Haag, Austrian Hotelier, Met Actress Via A Family Friend

Bollywood actress, Celina Jaitly has recently filed a domestic violence case against her husband, Peter Haag. The couple reportedly met through a family friend and mutual acquaintances. Some reports suggest they met in Dubai, started dating and back in 2010 got engaged. It was in 2011 that Celina and Peter Haag got married in Austria, and in March 2012, they were blessed with twin boys, Winston and Viraaj. Back in 2017, Celina also delivered another set of twins but sadly one child, Shamsher passed away because of a congential heart condition.

Celina Jaitly is a well-known actress known for movies such as No Entry, Apna Sapna Money Money, and Thank You, to name a few. She has filed a domestic violence case against Peter and asked for Rs. 50 crore for the loss of earnings she suffered due to him. It was on November 21, 2025, when a notice was issued to Peter, who is a hotelier and also an Australian entrepreneur.

Beyond the personal chaos in his life, Peter has his feet rooted in the hospitality sector, had a cross-cultural marriage, and the ex-couple were the strength of one another.

Peter Haag is known for keeping a very low profile on social media. His Instagram account is private, and he is known to be Austrian, as indicated by his nationality. Peter, according to a StarsUnfolded report, was born in the 1980s and holds a master's degree in Tourism and Leisure Industry Management. This degree enabled him to carve out a niche in the luxury hospitality sector.

Peter Haag started off as a Sales Coordinator

The report further mentioned that after Peter Haag entered the hospitality industry, he worked as a Sales and Marketing Coordinator back at the Jumeirah Beach Club Resort and Spa. His exceptional talents in marketing made him climb the ladder, and he became a Marketing Communications Manager back at the Jumeirah Emirates Tower. Peter then worked beyond Dubai, went to Singapore, got associated with many uber luxurious brands, and then came back to the Gulf. Here, he took the leadership role with the Emaar Hospitality Group situated in Dubai, according to NDTV.

Peter Haag saw commercial, marketing operations, focused on digital marketing, sales with revenue, brand management, and also public relations. Peter then became a brand strategist, and this gave him a reputation in the same domain, as he was interested in the travel, design, and innovation domains. Apart from his business personality, Peter is also fond of photography.

Peter Haag and Celina Jaitly met in Dubai for the first time

According to an iDiva report, Peter and Celina met for the first time in Dubai. She was there for the store opening of the Indian fashion brand she endorsed, Jashn. Celina, in the interview with the publication, stated that she met Peter through a family friend she calls her mama. She has also credited Rahuul Jashnani for making her meet Peter. Celina shared:

"I met Peter through a dear family friend whom I lovingly call Nilesh Mama & my dear friend Rahuul Jashnani. It was a family gathering at a wonderful lounge and Peter was also invited to it. There was an intense recognition in a part of me when I first saw Peter. Actually we did not speak anything to each other but I just knew from the moment he walked in that he was my husband even though we had never met before."

Peter Haag proposed to Celina Jaitly at the place her mom had said 

Celina, in a long Instagram post to celebrate her anniversary, revealed how he had flown to Mumbai just for 8 hours to meet her dad. He had an important meeting the next day, so he flew to meet Celina's parents. Celina did not know he would propose to her, and the night before departure, he proposed to her with a ring. Celina recollected how Peter had proposed to her at the same place where her mom had told her she would find the right one. She had penned on Instagram:

"14 years ago today Peter Haag flew down to Mumbai for 8 hours only (he had an important meeting the next day) to meet my father and mother. I did not know he asked for their permission to propose to me... That very same night before departure, he proposed to me with a ring," 

Celina, in her note, had also stated that her mother had predicted the same spot, the sofa where Peter had proposed to her. Celina's mom had told to her that the wrong one will find you in peace and leave you in pieces, but the right one will find you in pieces and lead you to peace. Celina had written that a marriage should make one person feel human.
