Vipul Amrutlal Shah on wanting to go into the creative field since childhood

Vipul Amrutlal ShahVipul Amrutlal Shah has been pretty open about wanting to enter the creative field since childhood. While he grew up in Parle East, Mumbai, in a middle-class family, they never pressured him, leaving him with a childhood filled with endless play and freedom. The director claimed that, unlike today's pressured environment, it was those simpler times that allowed his personality to develop naturally, helping him discover his true calling. He further stated:

“My creative journey began early, from school plays to choosing NM College in Juhu for its renowned theatre program. Under Mahendra Joshi's guidance, I found my way to Prithvi Theatre, where my real education began. Starting backstage, I gradually moved to small acting roles, but something else caught my attention. I realised directing excited me more than performing. This revelation led me to create my own plays, which, fortunately, found success with audiences. Television was my next step, where again, I was blessed with success.”

In a 2024 interview, the Delhi Crime actress reflected on her wedding day with Vipul Amrutlal Shah. She shared:

“We don’t have perfect pictures; we didn’t look like a prince and princess. Yes, the horse was milky white with long silky tresses, absolutely magnificent, but it belonged to the next-door baraat. And we had danced so much at our sangeet that we almost considered postponing our wedding to the day after. But it was too late–food for 100 people (thanks to our parents) was already cooked. By the end of the evening, we weren’t jumping with joy, overflowing with romance, or desperate to lay hands on each other. We were just exhausted, tired, and dying to sleep. And that’s exactly what we did.”
