Meet India's Youngest TEDx Speaker, Agniv Vinoth, Took The Stage At The Age Of 6 Years

We all are aware of TED Talks and their sub-program, TEDx, the initiative that aims to spread every idea that is worth discussing to local communities around the world. The platform has given enthusiasts the opportunity to listen and interact with some of the biggest names in the world while also giving the stage to emerging great minds worldwide. However, it was a proud moment for all Indians as our very own Agniv Vinoth made it to the TEDx stage, and not only that, it also marked a historic milestone.

Agniv Vinoth becomes the youngest TEDx speaker

Agniv Vinoth took the stage at TEDx on March 1, 2025. This was a collaboration between TED and Anurag University in Hyderabad. The talk included some of the most experienced personas, including film actress and founder of Blue Cross, Akkineni Amala, Founder of Cyient and T-Hub, Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy, Former Public Administrator, Dr Jayaprakash Narayan, Senior Creative Designer, Salesforce India, Karthi Subbaraman, Founder and CEO Hunar, Nishtha Yogesh, Senior Vice President DU, Ramakrishna Momidi, CEO and Founder, AumSat Technologies, Violinist and Singer, Sandilya Psapati and among them was the young soul who had entered the world with an aspiration to learn and lead, Aginv Vinoth.

Aginv Vinoth is a bright and curious child who has broken the traditional learning barriers. His parents opted to raise him as an open-schooler, giving him the freedom to explore beyond textbooks and follow his passion as he felt right. The young speaker is only six years and two months old, yet he possesses the wit and knowledge that speaks far beyond his years. At only 6 years of age, Agniv is fluent in Tulu and Tamil and is also learning English and Kannada. His desire to learn and inspire brought him to the grand stage of TEDx. However, that is not all; his presence at the TEDxAnuragU made him India's youngest TEDx speaker.

More about Agniv Vinoth

Agniv Vinoth was born to Vinoth Sankar and Nishitha G Kotian. The couple hails from Mangalore and are parents to two beautiful boys, Agniv Vinoth and Adyaveer. Agniv has a strong social media presence with a massive following of 979K followers on Instagram. The little one shares educational videos in his cute voice, sharing how little activities can make learning even more fun. The account is managed by his parents, and they share glimpses from Agniv's daily life on the social media account, including fun activities, learning to do chores and crafts and some leisure time as well.

TED Talk, or Technology, Entertainment and Design Talks, was started by Richard Saul Wurman and Harry Marks in 1984. The duo aimed at bringing together experts in these fields. The first TED conference was held in 1990 in Monterey, California, and included presentations on technology, entertainment, and design, as well as a demonstration of new technologies at the time. As TED grew to be a global platform over the years, it gave birth to TEDx, a collaborative event independently organised by local institutions where anyone can share their ideas.
