Veteran K drama actor, Lee Moon Soo passed away at the age of 76 as per varied K media outlets. It was on November 29, 2025, when the Korean Theatre Actors Association shared the sad news that Lee had left for the heavenly abode. He was reportedly fighting lung cancer, which he was diagnosed with back in 2022. Lee was seen in the tvN drama called, Signal and also in the movie, Hello Ghost. Lee reportedly was 76 when he passed away, and closed his eyes at a hospital located in Yangpyeong County, Gyeonggi.
It was in 2022 that Lee Moon Soo was suffering from lung cancer and was receiving treatment while travelling to and from the hospital. He was a graduate of the Seoul Institute of the Arts, and then Lee joined the National Theatre Company back in 1989. He was seen in productions such as The Crucible, The Problematic Human Yeonsan, Death of a Salesman, The Seagull, and King Lear. Lee had created himself as an established mid-career star in the theatre industry. He had solid acting chops, stage presence, and also earned a lot of trust and respect from his fellow stars and juniors.

According to a report by the Korea Joongang Daily, Lee has left behind his wife, Yoon Se-sook, a son called, Lee Ju-mong and his daughter-in-law, Lee Young-hwa. There is not much information available related to the marital life of Lee and Yoon or about his past relationships. BollywoodShaadis could not find information related to for how long Lee and Yoon were married, or whether he had any romantic relationships before Yoon. An official statement by Lee's family has not yet been shared and public records related to the senior Korean actor speak related to his theatrical roles, films he did and also his dedication to craft. There has been silence related to the personal life of Lee.

Lee Moon Soo's work on the big as well as small screen was very well known. It was in 2010 when Lee had taken the risk of doing supporting roles such as Hello Ghost and also SBS drama titled, The President. These movies had raised the public profile of Lee. Sadly, he has left his fans mourning behind, and reportedly, his funeral is set to take place on December 1, 2025. The mourning hall will be in Room 2 of the funeral house located in Hanyang University Seoul Hospital located in Seoul.

Lee Moon Soo was loved for his role in Signal and was also awarded the Minister's Commendation, which was also from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, which recognised his contribution to the development of arts and culture. According to another report by the MBC News, Lee's funeral will take place on December 1, 2025, at 8.20 a.m. KST, and he will be laid to rest at the burial site located in Eden Memorial Park.

Lee Moon Soo was born back on March 3, 1949 in the Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province of Seoul, South Korea. He used to work as a civil servant and then found his love in acting. Lee, soon in 1989, had admissioned himself with the National Theatre Company back in 1989 and had taken part in plays such as the Death of a Salesman, 1984 and also King Lear. Lee Moon Soo had created his name in the K drama industry. He made his presence felt with his work in Signal. Lee was also seen in shows such as Rookie Cops that had Kang Daniel and Chae Soo Bin. Lee was also seen in Ghost Doctor, which had Rain Kim Beom along with School 2021. The stellar cast in this was Kim Yo Han and Young Woo. Lee was also seen in Navillera, Goblin also called as the Guardian: The Lonely and Great God.
