The Hurun Global Rich List 2023 was released in March 2023, and it was India’s Radha Vembu, who grabbed the second spot on the list. The entrepreneur was named as the second richest self-made woman billionaire in the world. It was a huge feat for Radha, who built everything right from scratch with her brother, Sridhar Vembu, who is also a renowned billionaire. For the unversed, Radha co-founded Zoho Corporation with her brother back in 1996.
The self-made billionaire, Radha Vembu was born in 1972 in a middle-class family. Her father used to work at Madras High Court as a stenographer. Right from an early age, Radha was a bright student and extremely good in her studies. The businesswoman was keenly interested in computers and technology, which was why she went into IT.

The billionaire businesswoman, Radha Vembu studied industrial management at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras. She was a brilliant student even during her college days and founded a company, AdventNet, with her brother, Sridhar Vembu, on March 17, 1996.
When in 1996, Radha Vembu and Sridhar Vembu kick-started their company, AdventNet, they had a small team of engineers. Their company used to provide network management software. However, with time, AdventNet expanded its operations outside India.
It was Japan, where they focused on small businesses for selling their services. The move resulted in success, and soon they released their customer software and web-based tools in their company’s first office suite, Zoho Office Suite.
Radha Vembu and Sridhar Vembu’s company, AdventNet’s first office suite product was Zoho Writer, which was released after Zoho CRM in 2015. Soon the company released more products such as Zoho Docs, Zoho Meeting, and many more products that were well-received by a large set of customers.
After the tremendous success of their products, Radha and Sridhar decided to rename their company, AdventNet, to Zoho Corporation. The move was finalised in 2009, and today it is one of the biggest names in the computer software and web-based business tools industry.

As per multiple reports, Radha Vembu has the majority of stake in the Zoho Corporation. Apart from this, she works as a product manager for Zoho Mail. Radha handles a staff of 250 people, and the office is in Chennai. Apart from this, Radha is also the director of Janaki Hi-Tech Agro Pvt. Ltd and a company named Highland Valley Corporation Pvt. Ltd.
Despite being one of the richest female entrepreneurs in India, Radha Vembu lives a private life. The businesswoman is married to Rajendran Dandapani, who works as a director of engineering at Zoho Corporation. The couple is also blessed with a son, Aditya Rajendran. Not much info about the family is available in the public domain, as Radha and Rajendran prefer to live a low-key life away from the media glare.
