Who Is Sunjay Kapur's Sister, Mandhira Kapur? Estranged From Brother, Good Relation With Karisma

Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband, late Sunjay Kapur's family, has been in the limelight. The businessman has left behind a legacy worth Rs. 30,000 crore. It has become the centre of an inheritance feud. Now, Karisma's kids, on the one hand, daughter, Samaira and son, Kiaan, have gone to the Delhi High Court. They have claimed that their stepmother, Priya Kapur, reportedly forged Sunjay's will so that she could be the sole beneficiary. Now, amid all this fiasco, Sunjay's sister, Mandhira Kapur, has stepped forward to support Karisma and her children.

Mandhira, at one end, has become a significant voice in relation to the family and legal dispute that is ongoing. However, who is Mandhira Kapur, who has backed Samaira, Kiaan and is standing as a firm rock behind Karisma's children? According to an ETimes report, Mandhira shared that the direction by the High Court will help with clearing things up, as reportedly the will made by Sunjay did not leave anything for Samaira and Kiaan.

Mandhira, who is confident that the Indian judiciary system will serve justice and bring transparency in the matter, is an award-winning entrepreneur. The second-generation ace entrepreneur is also the Managing Director of SMIC Autoparts Pvt. Ltd. This company, founded back in 2012, has its global headquarters in London. Mandhira is the daughter of the famous late industrialist, Dr. Surinder Kapur and Rani Kapur. Mandhira also has a sister called, Superna Motwane. According to an ETimes report, Mandhira and Luke got married on June 11, 2023, and have been blessed with two children, Nayna and JaiVee.

Mandhira Kapur shared not talking to her 'late bhaiya', Sunjay, for four years

Mandhira's bhaiya, Sunjay, suffered a fatal heart attack, which was reportedly triggered by a bee sting. Mandhira shared being estranged from Sunjay for four years because of a silly sibling squabble. After Sunjay passed away, Mandhira took to her social media handle to share unseen pictures of their childhood. In her emotional post, she did make a note of both the siblings' egos reaching a skyrocket level as she penned:

"My brother and I may not have spoken for the last 4 years, a silly sibling squabble escalated to crazy levels due to egos and natural bullishness, however, that will never take back what we were and what we had. The phenomenal times we experienced, a privileged childhood of happiness with 2 wonderful parents, the secrets we would keep, the staying up late and sneaking out of the house even later, the stupid in-jokes that the 3 of us kept going for years, the hours of laughter we shared whilst others would stare at us in utter confusion.”

Mandhira, in her note, also mentioned how she wanted to see her bhaiya one last time. She shared that she had a void in her heart and expressed regret over the time that was lost. Mandhira's post for her brother was emotional, as she expressed her love for him in her note.

Mandhira Kapur publicly showed support for her ex-sister-in-law, Karisma Kapoor and her kids

Mandhira, earlier, had shared in many press statements that the family is still grieving over the loss of Sunjay due to an ongoing legal feud. However, she has also voiced her opinion in public about Karisma's kids being excluded from the property inheritance and shared that it was sad for Samaira and Kiaan to be cut off from the will. In the words of Mandhira:

"We’ve always had good relationships with Karisma and her kids. If anyone knew my brother and his relationship with his children, this is the most bizarre thing that has come out — that they’ve been cut off and Priya is the sole beneficiary of this will.” 

Mandhira Kapur supports her mom, Rani Kapur and reveals being cornered

For Mandhira, it is like a nightmare she has woken up from. Apart from expressing shock over Sunjay's kids being excluded from the will, she also claimed that her mom, Rani, was cornered by Sunjay's third wife, Priya Kapur. She alleged that her mom was made to sign papers behind closed doors and wrote:

"My mother was made to sign papers behind locked doors. And this wasn’t once, but twice."
