Meghan Markle, popularly known as the Duchess of Sussex, officially launched her new podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder. On April 8, 2025, the first episode of the podcast was released by Lemonade Media. The episode featured Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, who introduced herself as simply 'Meghan'.

In the first episode, Meghan Markle introduced herself as 'I'm Meghan'. She also shared a promotional photo for her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, that featured the title, Confessions of a Female Founder, followed by “with Meghan”. With Love, Meghan, a Netflix series produced by Meghan also featured her name simply as 'Meghan'.

When Meghan Markle corrected Mindy Kaling over her surname

In an episode of the American lifestyle series, With Love, the Duchess shared her childhood food habits with American actress, Mindy Kaling. Hearing about Meghan's food habits, Mindy went in utter disbelief and referred to her by the surname “Markle”. She said, “People wouldn’t believe that Meghan Markle has eaten Jack in the Box!” Getting addressed as Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, said:

“It’s so funny, too, that you keep saying Meghan Markle. You know I’m Sussex now. You have kids, and you go, ‘No, I share my name with my children.' I didn’t know how meaningful that would be to me, but it just means so much to go. This is our family name, our little family name."

In 2016, Meghan Markle met Prince Harry, and in 2018, they got married at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. Their wedding was the most-watched royal wedding in the world. On their wedding day, Meghan got the title of the Duchess of Sussex. The royal couple welcomed their first kid, Prince Archie, in 2019 and their second kid, Princess Lilibet, in 2021.

The podcast focuses on the ups and downs that come with being a woman entrepreneur.
