For actress, Meghana Raj, the year 2020 was a mixed bag of emotions. It was on June 7, 2020, when Meghana had gotten the biggest shock of her life with the sudden demise of her husband and actor, Chiranjeevi Sarja, due to cardiac arrest. Meghana, who was expecting their first child during that time had kept a brave face, even after going through the biggest emotional trauma of losing her husband. On October 22, 2020, Meghana had given birth to a baby boy and since then, he has become Jr. Chiru for everyone.

Ever since the birth of their baby boy, Jr. Chiru, Meghana has been sharing glimpses of her mommy life. When her baby boy had turned four months old, Meghana had taken to her IG handle and had shared adorable pictures of her little wonder. In the pictures, Meghana’s baby boy had looked cute in his blue onesie, with a crown printed on it. Along with the pictures, Meghana had written, “Its been four months of sheer happiness and sleepless nights... forever to go! My baby prince. #jrc #oursimba #chiranjeevisarja.”
On April 22, 2021, Meghana Raj and late Chiranjeevi Sarja’s baby boy turned six months old. The doting mommy threw The Boss Baby-themed party on his half birthday. Meghana shared glimpses of her son’s half-birthday celebrations, where the little munchkin looked cute as a cupcake in his blue ethnic attire. Along with the pictures, Meghana wrote, “6 months have gone by ... u can now say all ur gaas and goos perfectly! Appa and i love u so much! #chiranjeevisarja #JrC #Simba.”
In an interview with The Times of India, Meghana Raj had talked about her motherhood life and how she is acing the role of both a father and mother to her little bundle of joy. Calling motherhood one of the toughest jobs, Meghana had recalled how she had witnessed one of the lowest phases of her lives when she was pregnant and it was her mother, who had stood like a pillar of strength for her. She had also revealed that her son looks exactly like his father, late Chiranjeevi Sarja. Meghana had further revealed that she often sings lullabies to her little one and most of them are songs from Chiru’s films.

On November 12, 2020, Jr. Chiru’s cradle ceremony had taken place at Meghana’s home and the pictures from the same had made their way through social media. In the unseen pictures of the cradle ceremony, Meghana had looked beautiful as she had donned a pink kurta with palazzo pants and had teamed it up with a matching dupatta. After one month of Chiranjeevi Sarja’s death, Meghana had penned an emotional note remembering him. She had taken to her IG handle and had shared a picture of her late husband from the remembrance ceremony and had written, “My Dearest Chiru .... Chiru is a CELEBRATION... has always been, is and will always be... I know u wouldn’t have liked it any other way! Chiru, the reason i smile... what he has given me is most precious... MY FAMILY… the JUST US... together we will always be for all eternity baby ma and each day will be just the way u like it! Filled with Love, laughter, pranks, honesty and most importantly Togetherness. WE LOVE YOU BABY MA!”
