What is the storyline of Metro... In Dino?

Well, the plot of Metro... In Dino is about four pairs who are facing different issues in the varied stages of love. Anurag, in his signature style, showcases Aditya Roy Kapur as a commitment-phobic man-child who is attracted to Sara Ali Khan, also known as 'Thumri'. She is shown to be engaged to a man for whom image in the corporate world is important, and does not care even if his boss flirts with 'Thumri'. Stars Neena Gupta and Anupam Kher essay the roles of 'Shivani' and 'Parimal', who are shown to be an elderly pair reuniting after years of separation. They are shown to develop a bond outside their marriage.

On the other side, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh’s characters are shown to face challenges related to an unplanned pregnancy. On one side, there is also Konkona Sen Sharma and Pankaj Tripathi, who are shown to be in a marriage where they face issues related to infidelity and struggle. Fans still miss Konkona's chemistry with 'Monty' a.k.a the late Irrfan Khan from the original Life in a ...Metro.

Konkona, earlier, sat down for an interview with Live Mint and shared that she was thrilled and excited about the opportunity to do Metro... In Dino. She thanked 'Anurag Da' for remembering her for the movie and exclusively wanted her to do the film. Konkona shared:

"I was so excited. I didn’t know much when Anurag Basu called me. ‘Koko, we are making Metro 2.’ I was like, 'Oh my God!' That time, I didn’t know if it was the same character or a new character. I didn’t know anything. I was just happy to be called again to Dada’s sets. I had such a wonderful experience. I would have been happy to work with Anurag in any capacity."

Reportedly, Metro... In Dino minted Rs. 3.5 crore, and the movie got audiences to the theatres via word-of-mouth publicity. During the first weekend after the movie's release, earnings doubled, with approximately Rs. 6 to Rs. 7.25 crore collected on the second and third days, respectively.
