For the uninitiated, 'The Trump Accounts' are new investment and savings accounts created under the 'One Big, Beautiful Bill'.

Children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, will receive an account seeded by the US government with USD 1000. Parents are also allowed to add money up to USD 5,000 per year for one child. What's interesting is that the money in the children's accounts will be invested in low-cost US stock-market index funds.

The funds will be locked until the child turns 18 and can be used for education, property, or further investments. Parents can open accounts from July 4, 2026, onwards, and children born between 2025 and 2028 will automatically receive the Trump Account.
